The stanza's are different glimpses of time as the Narrator lives life. The Narrator is different things over the years and describes their memories metaphorically for each time period. Try to imagine what the Narrator is living through in each timer period. What are they? Where are they? How do they feel? What pains throughout their life? Quietly sing the verses, feel the emotion.

Dear Painful Memory

Once upon a dream my horizon was skewed.

Dust risen skies erased all from my view.

Confusion and darkness was all that I knew.

Blinded by my doubt I crashed, into you.

Sand in the wind I blinded my mind.

Stole all from me and left it behind.

Come to my land hourglass in time.

Lost in this world I’m losing my, mind.

Once upon a dream my kingdom was huge.

Lord/Lady of my land and leader of few.

Locked in my tower hidden from view.

Blinded by my thoughts I raged, for you.

Sand in the wind I blinded my mind.

Stole all from me and left it behind.

Come to my land hourglass in time.

Lost in this world I’m losing my, mind.

Once upon a dream my world was blue.

Stars filled my sky and a mountain view.

Trapped under me was an ocean of feud.

Blinded by my feelings I screamed, for you.

Sand in the wind I blinded my mind.

Stole all from me and left it behind.

Come to my land hourglass in time.

Lost in this world I’m losing my, mind.

Once upon a dream my tear was rain.

High on life a contaminated vein.

Contagious like a drug I bathed in vain

Blinded by my doubts I crashed, in pain.

Sand in the wind I blinded my mind.

Stole all from me and left it behind.

Come to my land hourglass in time.

Lost in this world I’m losing my, mind.

Once upon a dream my ruling was reign.

Dominated lands fire filled the plain.

Blood soaked my mind invaded my brain.

Blinded by my thoughts I raged, for pain.

Sand in the wind I blinded my mind.

Stole all from me and left it behind.

Come to my land hourglass in time.

Lost in this world I’m losing my, mind.

Once upon a dream my death was bane.

Lost to this world inspired by flame.

Sacrificing me was the power I gained.

Blinded by my feelings I screamed, in pain.

Sand in the wind I blinded my mind.

Stole all from me and left it behind.

Come to my land hourglass in time.

Lost in this world I’m losing my…

The End.
