Return Of The Brown People
This story is really quite simple. Approximately six hundred years ago the Europeans came to this country, killed most of the brown people, (with weapons or diseases), ran the rest of them off or put them on reservations. And now it appears that the brown people are coming to take it back.
Obviously a steady migration of Hispanics has be taking place for several years. While many have made their way here “illegally”, most have not, and many are taking their place in prominent society. American natives also are being seen in high profile positions in government, business and academia.
According to historical accounts the Europeans came to America to escape tyranny and find freedom for religious practices and unencumbered rights to engage in commerce. But what they found upon arrival was a vast expanse of rich productive real estate. The best part was that this land was free for the taking. Oh, sure, it was inhabited by the natives who claimed it was theirs, but they had no legal documents to prove it so the insurgents decided this wonderful land was a gift from God. And they had learned that anything can be justified if you declare it is the will of the Almighty.
Now, please understand, I’m not writing this because of guilt or a heightened sense of morality. What the Europeans did was terrible, of course, but they were doing what human beings do. Humans are expansionist by nature. Look at a two-thousand year old map of the known world and see if you recognize borderlines or names of countries. So, in the grander scheme of global events, modern day United States of America is the latest and greatest version of nation-changing conquests.
