Dan 7:24-25 The antichrist will be a man.
Dan 8:25 He will ascend to power on a platform of peace. By peace he will destroy many.
It was a hot, dark and stormy night and the thunder was rumbling at a distance but the noise was getting closer fast. At the Hadavidka house in Jerusalem, at exactly midnight on the night of June 24th a baby was born. From the time the midwife smacked him for his first breath of air, and during the time it took to cut his umbilical cord and to place him at his mother’s waiting arms; in rapid succession of images the four main basic books of the main religions in the word were imprinted in his brain. The rumbling noise of the ominous thunder had suddenly stopped, an eerie silence was felt; suddenly the whole area was illuminated with a series of three consecutive lightning bolts; the blinding light seemed to emanate not only from the windows but from the walls throwing dancing shadows all over the room. The repetitive echoing and thundering noise was so deafening that the midwife almost dropped the baby. Then the slow rumbling started to fade away as fast as they had arrived, the flashes of light were also waning away. The birthing process, only witnessed by Fatima, the elderly woman in charge of the home, had been long and very painful; for the last past hour it had gotten worse; Hila had been sweating profusely and experiencing excruciating pain. When the baby was crowning she let out a long and horrifying yell that left her limp from exhaustion. The baby just burst out splattering blood all over, even on the midwife’s face. Instead of crying, the baby just gasped for air. The baby just nestled lazily in his mothers arms, Fatima could almost swear that she saw the baby smile and that she saw a silver twinkle in his closed eyes. Amazed she dragged her old and bent body out of the room wondering if the lights had played a trick on her mind.
Hila Izhak, a fifteen year old Jewish virgin girl took the newborn in her arms lovingly and reminiscenced the happenings of the past sixteen months. She was raised with her rich, but very strict, parents at Klausner Street in Jerusalem near the Agnon house. Sixteen months ago, during the early morning hours she had an apparition of a larger than life angel with six wings, a bright light emanating from his body, long soft white hair, handsome face, bare feet, and a golden shiny armor plate encasing a knee length slightly pink robe. At first she thought that she was still asleep and shook her head. “Shalom, Hila! Do not be afraid, for I bring you good tidings; you will be the virgin mother of THE ANNNOUNCED, him whom will fulfill all prophecies for all religions, and you will name him Emmanuel. You cannot not tell anyone of my visit for there are very difficult times ahead of you. THE ANNOUNCED will be the redeemer that all religions are awaiting for. After his birth you may disclose this information; and I repeat to you that many years of difficulties await you. Shalom!” And this beautiful angel disappeared in a bright flash of white light which caused Hila to wince, shield her eyes, and turn her head away. Hila had felt a chill from the start of the vision that lasted to its end, like a stream of icy water inside her skin. The apparition had been standing on the floor but had started to rise very slowly as it was speaking. Still disbelieving what she had seen she got up, did her morning usual routine and went to school. Her best friend was waiting in the hallway and even though Hila was burning to tell her about her vision, she kept quiet about it.
Six months ago the pregnancy had been evident with her bulging belly; and her refusal to explain her pregnancy forced her strict parents to exile her to a house for young women called Hadavidka where she dwelt until the delivery of her baby. She finalized her school year but under the sneers of teachers, schoolmates, and most amazingly from her best friend; she was deemed an outcast. She was all alone.
For her, the difference from the lavish lifestyle with her wealthy parents to the austere living in exile was harsh, also the ridicule from her classmates; but she bore it with faith in her vision and armed with the absolute truth that her pregnancy was without ever having been with a man. Her parents were paying for the school, hospice, her food, and medical bills, but nothing more. One week later after the birth she went to the house of her parents taking Emmanuel with her and at this moment she told them about the visit from the angel. They stared at her with disbelief and dispatched her without understanding or believing her. Afterwards she went to her best friend’s house but she refused to see her. Later she also told some friends. Nobody believed her; but somehow the story leaked and even hit the tabloids, but as fast at it spread it died down. After all, a virgin giving birth to THE ANNOUNCED after the visit of a six winged angel was less plausible than UFO sightings! It was frustrating for her to have her parents shun her and the baby, and her friends to scorn her and not believing in her. So after a month of giving birth she got a job at a fish market and moved to a small but comfortable house in the Elrashid Bab El Zahara Street.
AGE 5
Dan 8:23 He will understand puzzling things.
Emmanuel was always very health, the only need to see doctors were for his check ups and to update his vaccinations as per the law; as it was the same with Hila. Since he was a month old he had formed words and phrases with the alphabet blocks under the happy and watchful eye of his mother. She would sit at her favorite sofa, sewing or knitting, smiling, and nodding while he formed intelligible words. At the tender age of two Emmanuel was already reading basic books and had escalated to more complex texts at age three, all in the privacy of the home. He was already reading writings from expert theologicians on the three basic religions; for Jerusalem was the hub center for the Christian, Jewish, and Muslim religions. If it were not for the seriousness of the matter it would be laughable to see this tot carrying around heavy tomes, his tiny feet wavering, set them in the floor and lay face down buried inside of the books. Since she moved to this house Ziva a young almost blind girl, the daughter of a coworker, had been Emmanuel’s baby sitter whilst Hila worked.
At this early age of five, he spoke Hebrew and Arabic, but read also in English, Spanish, and some Mandarin.
AGE 6
On his birthday, Hila took him to the Hotel/Museum of the Second Temple, a beautiful structure made of copper, marble, steel, and stone just as per the Sacred Scriptures which also was a meeting center for priests, rabbis, and members of other religions. After strolling around that area for a while hanging to his mother’s skirt, he separated from his mother and stood in the middle of one of the groups under the vigilant stare of Hila and questioned them: “Gentlemen, priests, Rabbis; if I may ask, are all the religions the same if you took away the politics and the money?” The group was startled and amused but this young tall boy with jet black hair, golden skinned, and with deep green eyes commanded their response with his attitude. A tall rabbi stammered, “Y … Y… Young man that is a very interesting question, and cannot be answered as readily as we wish.” The rabbi looked around and back at Emmanuel. “Gentlemen, may we discuss this young person’s interesting request among us?”
That was the start of many visits for Emmanuel whenever Hila could take him due to her work schedule and his schooling. These meeting were the basis of his formation as a fundamentalist and questioning all religions alike. All were awed at his knowledge of religions and comparing the scriptures with other religious books; the groups grew to unusual proportions whenever he was around for his questions were very interesting and some of his allegations too, which made way for interesting discussions.
Now, schooling was another story. He had started when he was five, and by his sixth birthday his teachers were in a fit, they did not know what to do with him; he was well in advance from his classmates and recent tests showed he was at a level 12 but it would be impossible to advance him to that level at this early age. The teachers suggested special schooling but they advised her that it was very expensive; Hila’s parents had distanced themselves from her and she had not seen them for the past three years. Stories of Emmanuel’s prowess started many rumors and awoke interest in the scientific communities. Some suggested to Hila to place him in a special school paid by the state.
“I cannot and will not be subject to studies like a laboratory animal; I have things to do and places to be. Mother, I had a dream of the heavens opening up in a blast of light, and there was a beautiful person on a large throne, surrounded by many, many angels singing in a strange language and praising him.” At this moment Emmanuel’s expression turned from blissful to stern, looked at her straight in the eyes and said, “Soon we will have enough riches in order to fulfill my destiny.” Shivers went up and down Hila’s spine.
Six months later Hila’s parents died in a horrible car accident and she was their sole heir. With this new found wealth they were able to “disappear”; for many years of traveling, studying, and meditating were ahead for him. Ziva was forlorn when they said their goodbyes. A week later Ziva’s vision started to clear up and one month later she could see and function normally.
In the following years their travels took them all over the world, his time was mostly spent reading, studying with the master teachers of all the religions, from Christianity to Buddhism; even from some famous alleged atheists. His capacity to absorb the writings and analyzing the information was overwhelming. For atheism he had read the books by the 18th Century French author Baron D’ Holbach, and of modern writers such as Kiefer II, Cookson, Drake, Barker, and others. He found out that most atheists share a common skeptical concern regarding empirical evidence for spiritual or supernatural claims. He also went in and out of different organizations such as American Atheists, Atheist Foundation of Australia, Danish Atheist Society, etc.
AGE 30
Rev 1:13 And I saw the son of man . . .
Dan 7:20 His look will be more stout than his fellows.
Emmanuel reappeared in Jerusalem. Six foot three, square face with Middle Eastern features, handsome face, muscular, golden skinned, limp jet black hair to shoulder length, large almond shaped eyes, and deep green colored eyes; everywhere he looked at, his stare seemed very intense. He smelled of Misk, the oil of a reddish flower.
His followers were 7 women and 7 men, a pair from each continent; who had alerted the international media that Emmanuel had a message for the entire world; and reminded them all of the buried news of Hila thirty years ago. This aroused not many responses and just a few newspapers were represented. One of the Fourteen was also a reporter and he had to call in some favors to get press coverage. The setting was the Armon Hanatziv (the Commissioner’s Palace) walk on a grandiose Thursday afternoon; from where you could see the beautiful city of Jerusalem. The Promenade is around one kilometer long at the southern end of the city, looking northward. From there you can see the new Jewish Jerusalem, the Old City, Mount Zion, and the three valleys, i.e. Tyroppean, Hinnom, and Kidron, which surround the ancient Jerusalem.
Around 25 people had gathered aside from the Fourteen Great Priests, including six reporters, two photographers, and two cameramen.
Emmanuel was dressed in a long light blue flowing tunic, a gold cord riding his loins, and a turban; three sickles embroidered in gold across the chest, and riding boots. He over towered above the crowd and walked at a slow pace. It was the first time he wore these clothes and they would be his trademark in the future.
He came walking from the end of promenade, like from the Taverna, at a slow but firm pace.
Chapter 2- TIMES OF TROUBLE
Nostradamus: TIMES OF TROUBLES, period full of war, despair, and evil, but also of hope and promise.
Two years before, aliens had landed on earth with the promise of exchanging technology for some mining rights of material precious to them but worthless to us.
All televised and radio media held account of what happened the day of the landing which took all by surprise. All cameras were pointed at an apparently alien craft in the process of landing; it seemed like a long fat cigar, like those in the old Flash Gordon B & W movies. The same scene was happening at the same time in Washington DC and in Moscow. The airwaves were transmitting: “Two gigantic crafts have appeared out of the skies without warning. All radars, military and civilian went berserk.”
“LAST MINUTE BULLETIN !!!! Another craft has been sighted coming from behind the moon, it is smaller than the other ones but telescopes detect that it is heavily armed and the portholes are open. The armies do not know what to do, there is no time to react, and all were taken by surprise. . .”
Even though the media recommended not going out to the streets, many went to see these crafts up and close in these two capitals. Some with ice boxes filled with beer, some with hand painted signs WE LOVE ALIENS, WELCOME TO EARTH.
“A side door is opening! A soft blue mist emanates from the opened porthole. Some beings are been sighted coming out! This is happening on both crafts at the same time. These beings look humanoid, ten have come out and they are walking down the ramp with their arms extended. The universal sign of WE COME IN PEACE! They seem taller than us, and their apparel looks metallic. In the USA General Collins and his staff are approaching the aliens; in the Kremlin General Khrushov is doing the same. Our reporters are following behind the heavily armed military contingents. Our reporters have stated that the official version is that these crafts are so fast, even though they are so big, that by the time they were detected is was too late.”
Close ups of the aliens were made and a metallic voice was heard in various languages “We come in peace. We bring gifts and technology.” One of the USA reporters crammed a microphone almost in the face of the one who seemed to be the leader. The alien jumped back with his arms crossed in front of him. Another alien crossed rapidly in front of the microphone and with a grave metallic voice said, “We are from a galaxy far away from yours, we wish to exchange technology for the right to mine some ores that are neither important nor useful to you.” This was repeated in Russian, French, English, German, Mandarin, and in Spanish.
The telescopic cameras on both countries showed the military contingents pushing back the reporters.
More people were arriving at the sites with binoculars, cameras, national flags, etc.
“For CNN in the United States of America, this is Bernard Sloan just a few miles from the White House. This has been an incredible coverage. Can you imagine the similarity over five hundred years ago, when the Spanish conquistadores arrived at the indigenous islands in their shiny armor, big ships, and colorful clothes? It makes you wonder, have they been here before? Possibly over four thousand years ago! The ancient Egyptians could have mistaken them for Gods.”
The aliens gave the technology to desalinize sea water at a very low cost, also for energy at a low cost. The deal was that the governments would subsidize the mining operation in exchange for the technology. Everything was working out well until the governments balanced the economics out and found out that the exchange was not in their favor, they were losing tons of money, so they ended the subsidies around six months ago.
The aliens had been prepared for this eventuality; in less than a blink of an eye the aliens made a coup overwhelming the military and government installations leaving a trail of death. Their proton pistols vaporized and cauterized whatever they touched. Strewn bodies with no arms or no legs, but also no blood, were all over.
Total surrender was mandatory and immediate, martial law was in effect and they started a slave drive to keep mining and at an accelerated rate. Three weeks later chaos was almost total; the countries were paralyzed due to the new occupation. The new parameters for Europe, the Middle East, the Orient, and the United States were: All children under fifteen will still go to school; the rest will go to the mines. Also all adults except for an adult elite that will keep the governments and their commerce functioning. Banks, universities, insurance companies, travel agencies, and some entertainment centers were not needed anymore so just some main hotels and a few bars were permitted to stay open for business. In eight weeks all humans would have to go to the established centers in all countries to register and from there go to their assigned area of work or mine. Registering meant to be tattooed with their Social Security, country visa, or passport number in code in the alien language, undetectable by the eye but detected with their long range detectors. After this time frame, all human not identified would be executed on sight without warning. Thousands that did not hear the announcements and those who could not go, etc, were murdered in the following months.
Small headless guerrillas of identified and some non registered humans were formed to fight these alien predators. H’nan and D’nan were their primary targets; these two ruthless aliens were in charge of this operation.
Chapter 3- THE RISING OF EMMANUEL
Dan 7:8 He will have a mouth speaking great things. Very boastful.
Rev 13:7 He was given the power over all kindreds, tongues, and nations.
A beautiful day in Jerusalem, completely clear skies with no clouds and the sun was shining in its entire splendor. Emmanuel started in a loud voice which needed no amplification, “Difficult times have weighted upon us since the start of humankind. These present days have been our worst times and all religious factions have had their share of vicissitudes, turmoil, pain, and confusion. I have come to unite all denizens of earth, regardless of their faith, color, race, and ethnicity; yes even the humanoid aliens that have subjugated us into slavery. . . Cheer up and remember that you are free to act and to choose the way to everlasting death or the way to eternal life.”
About this time a beggar on a rickety wheel chair was pushing his way among the crowd. He had been a fixture for the past four years in the Armon Hanatziv walk. Passing the circle formed by the Fourteen he shouted, “Rabbi, can you cure me?”
“Come closer,” was the answer. “What is wrong with you?”
“I was near a car bomb six years ago and the shrapnel paralyzed me; I lost my job, my family, and my life. Two years in hospitals and the last years trying to survive.” The Fourteen were restless, but Emmanuel held his hand up palm facing outward, stopping them. Emmanuel neared the beggar and turned the wheelchair around, placed his hands on his shoulders and asked. “What is your name?”
“Jarom.”
He looked at the crowd, and in a raised voice “Father! Cure Jarom of all his illnesses!” With still his hands on the beggar’s shoulders and with a voice that thundered, “If you have faith, stand up Jarom!” Jarom, looked back at Emmanuel, unsteadily grabbed the arms of the rickety wheelchair and slowly raised himself up little by little. Emmanuel let go of the shoulders and stood back with his hands raised in front of his body at a forty five degree angle.
“Thank you Rabbi!” Jarom said walking away a little unsteady and pushed his wheelchair slowly out into the amazed throng of people. By now the crowd had grown to almost one hundred people, including a few aliens. The media people started to leave murmuring, “Charlatan. . . Fake. . . We are wasting our time. . . Let’s get the hell out of here.”
Emmanuel shouted in a thundering voice above the murmuring crowd, “Do not go away, this is not what you think. Please come back and give me five minutes of your time.” Some turned back, some kept going. Calmly Emmanuel raised his hands over his head and clasped his hands; and at the top his voice he shouted, “Father, I implore to you. Show this incredulous people your power.” At this time a soft but chilly wind befell around the walk like a soft giant whirlwind. Suddenly, total darkness! Everybody froze and looked around in the darkness. The sky had been clear of clouds and the sun had been shining and warm just a second ago. Looking up, they all saw that the sun had disappeared, complete blackness, no stars shining, nothing! Some street lights equipped with photo sensors started to flicker. As sudden as the darkness had blanketed the area, the sun appeared again in its splendor causing everybody to wince. “My Father has shown his Might to all the nations. Salvation is through the Father, and the Father and I are one. WAKE UP ISRAEL! All covenants will be fulfilled. WAKE UP ALL YOU OF THE WORLD! It is time to loosen the bands off your necks.”
Everybody gasped, the media started to run back to their offices to investigate this phenomena and to make their report. One approached him only with a tape recorder. “Who are you?”
“I am who I am.”
“Are you a prophet or the Messiah?”
“I am who I am.”
The news hit all the newspapers, TV media, and radio waves; the blackout had been experienced in the whole hemisphere, all scientists were stunned; there was no logical or scientific explanation for this phenomenon.
Chapter 4- THE CHOSEN
The Fourteen
Dan 7:7 He will rule a mighty and strong kingdom.
Dan 8:24 He will prosper in everything that he does.
Dan 11:37 He will not regard the desire of women.
For the past six years Emmanuel and Hila spent one year in each of the Continents, except for Antarctica, he had been taking up some classes in general in the main universities. Their wealth, well invested, had provided them for many years of well off living and studies for Emmanuel all over the world. At an early age while living in Charlotte, North Carolina, in USA he instructed Hila to open an account with an internet brokerage firm and to transfer US$500,000 to that account. Instructions were to invest in futures; one half in lumber and the other in live cattle; that same month a large fire destroyed acres of woodland in northern California and three months later a bout of Hoof and Mouth disease decimated the livestock in the USA, both futures grew fifty fold, resulting in huge profits. The same scene occurred once a year for the next ten years in different market investment strategies making their investments grow into the tens of millions.
Seven years ago, at the Macquarie University in Australia, the third metropolitan university established in Sydney, he met and befriended a couple, Andrew from Kalgoorlie and Pearl from Canberra which he had felt that they had a special aura about them. Later in the same year Pearl’s mother was hospitalized at the Royal Prince Albert Hospital with severe anemia on the verge of leukemia. Emmanuel offered them some counsel and to help, so he went to the hospital; Andrew and Pearl were there. “Mrs. Perry, what is ailing you?”
“Severe anemia and the possibility of leukemia; they are still waiting for some test results,” she responded wearily.
He placed his hands on her shoulders and said in a low voice, “Father, heal this woman from her ailment.” At this moment the lights in the room dimmed and a tongue of light was upon Andrew and Pearl. As Mrs. Perry started to get up in disbelief, the lights went back to normal, and the tongues of light disappeared. At this same moment a female doctor came in and stopped Mrs. Perry from getting up.
“But I feel fine”, Mrs. Perry said. Andrew and Pearl were startled and speechless of what they had seen and for some reason they also felt different.
Emmanuel placed a finger in his lips, requesting their secrecy and exited quietly, “I will wait for you at the hospital’s cafeteria; I need to talk to you both.” A while later they entered the cafeteria and slowly sat down staring at Emmanuel. “Before you say anything, let me tell you that both of you are very special. You still have 2 more years until you graduate and I will need you at that time; I will reveal more information at that time. For now I will tell you that I have a quest and need special persons to follow me. I will start a trust fund under the name of Coalition Of All Humanity in order to pay for your tuition and your expenses for the following two years. At that time you will have a salary and I will contact you with further instructions. Sounds fair so far?”
They were still dumbfounded. “What happened up there? Who are you? Mum seemed fine and the doctor ordered more tests.”
“Your mum is completely healed; even though you will find it somewhat hard to believe, I am the answer that all religions have been waiting for. I am establishing centers in six of the seven continents for support when I reveal myself to the world. Can I count on you?” At that moment they were feeling very good and suddenly understood all that had been said.
“Yes” they replied in unison.
During the next years the recruiting continued; Helen, 28 year old nurse from Indiana, USA; Mauricio, 52, accountant from Yucatan; Martinha, 50 actress from Belém, Brazil; Gerardo 35, hotel manager from Montevideo; Indira Suresh, 40, shopkeeper from Jaipur, India; Chang Huang, 30, chemist from Taipei; María José, 21, teacher, from Murcia, Spain; Kemal, 35, news reporter, from Izmir, Turkey; Omar, 60, retired medicine doctor from Assuán, Egypt; Galen, 73, photographer from Agadez, Niger; Michel, 35, international explorer and Rachel, 26, secretary, both born in Antarctica by mistake, for their parents were stationed there at the time; and of course Andrew and Pearl.
All of them Emmanuel had met under special circumstances, all had the tongue of fire manifest itself upon them at specific times; their auras were the telltale to Emmanuel that they were the right persons.
* * *
María José had been taking a two month crash teacher upgrade course in English at the St. Louis Community College, in Meramac, in the USA and had met Michel at the library there when he was doing research at the University for his next trip. He dropped a large tome and she happened to be passing by and knelt to help him, their eyes met and both felt a stream of electricity flowing between them, since then they had been dating for the past three weeks and had felt great affinity for each other. They had been staying in New York for the past two days and this was going to be their last night together; for the next day María José was leaving for Spain and Michel to Morocco for his next trek preparation. After an off Broadway show they were having an intimate dinner at SEVEN, a very nice restaurant on Seventh Avenue three blocks from the Madison Square Garden. They had chosen a table at the back, near the kitchen; for Bernard, the chef was a friend of Michel since they had studied together in France.
Emmanuel had entered the restaurant when María José and Michel were selecting the dessert. He had been drawn by their aura and went to their table. “Please excuse me. I am Emmanuel and I have to talk to you. May I sit down?” They were kind of awed but this tall handsome personage had something about him that they felt confident to signal him that he was welcome. He was dressed casually in slacks and a turtle neck sweater. “I see you are in the process of selecting your dessert. Do you like wines?”
“Yes” María José replied.
“May I select a dessert wine for us?” Emmanuel turned to the maitre’d and asked him for a half bottle of Tokaji Eszencia and a chocolate mousse for himself. They were enthused by the idea of having mousse and asked for the same dessert.
“Excellent choices, the Tokaji goes very well with the chocolate” said the maitre’d.
When the desserts and the wine were brought, Emmanuel said “Both of you are very special persons and I need your help. Look at each other and you will know in your hearts that what I am telling you is no foolishness.” With their forks in one hand and the glass of wine filled to one half, they saw a tongue of fire above them. María José gasped and dropped her fork noisily on the plate. “Nobody but yourselves see what you are looking at. The spirit of the Father will be inside of you and some time will pass before I call upon you to join me and my group. At that moment I shall reveal the magnitude of our quest. But for now let’s enjoy this magnificent wine and dessert.” They drank and ate in silence for a while.
“Who are you?” asked Michel.
“I am the ANNOUNCED. But this and many other things will be part of your new selves. You will have excellent health and the rest will be explained to you soon.” Emmanuel clasped his hand over Maria Jose’s over the wine glass. “María José, you can stop taking your Warfarine, effective tomorrow and when you go to your doctor for your appointment in three days, have him check your blood levels.”
“Warfarine?” asked Michel.
María José, stammered “How, how, how . . . Michel, it is a blood thinner I have been taking for the past three years. I had to stop doing anything that may make me bleed, including getting pregnant.”
“Not anymore, trust me,” said Emmanuel getting up. “I do not need your addresses; I will be getting in touch with you as the time comes. By the way Michel, tell María José how you met Bernard, the chef here, I believe that she would enjoy the story very much.” With a brimming smile, he turned and left after paying their entire bill.
The Russian driver was waiting for him in a white stretch limousine across the 7th Avenue. “Take me to the Golden Child.” The driver knew exactly where to go, for it was near the Russian section of Brooklyn. Many limousine drivers were Russian, Jewish Russian, or from Russian extraction; their brethren had brought them over with the money on trees dream, but really were exploiting them. The Brighton Beach area was brightly lit, as always; but the driver turned left at a less lit street. The Golden Child was a specialized private key club for sex. He had called the day before and had asked Hans, the owner to get for him two 18 year old black girls. Hans had known him for the past six years and that he was a party animal, one of the best customers, so Hans had grown accustomed to his sometimes strange requests and very unusually large monetary rewards. Usually he rented the biggest room with the European king sized bed, plasma TV, surround sound stereo, large couch and the vibrating reclining chair. The room, before his announced arrivals, usually six times a year was to be always stocked with ten pink Laurent Perrier champagne bottles in the wine refrigerator and two in large ice buckets filled with ice cubes to the half measure and the rest with shaved ice; and lots of shaved iced from the icemaker in the wine refrigerator. Soft music, soft light and his special banner on the headrest of the huge bed; and a large stock of porn CDs. Sometimes Hans had trouble fulfilling his desires for he asked for twins, Asian girls, tall lanky blondes, and one time two female little people, etc. Always young, over eighteen but not over twenty two; preferably not prostitutes. Twice he asked for virgins; but that was the tallest order to fill, virgins in New York! Hans tried to pull the wool over his eyes and got five girls allegedly virgins and two additional who were under aged. Emmanuel neared them one by one and smelled them; he softly growled after each one. He saw through his ruse but picked one the youngest among the eldest.
“Never, never try to outsmart me . . . ever!” he told Hans, under his breath, his eyes were glaring.
Finally Hans got him one virgin and negotiated with her parents to keep her virgin for him, until further notice. These requests were very expensive but Emmanuel was a very good customer and money was no problem, special requests meant more tips for him. Hans was revising this information on his mind as he was hanging the banner, a full size figure of Priapus. According to some of the girls that Emmanuel had entertained, he was as well equipped, and had the stamina of a bull. What Hans did not know was that Emmanuel had several sites similar to this all over the world. The one in Brussels catered young boys from 9 years of age.
Hans finally got the virgin for Emmanuel, a twenty some years of age poor black girl from Indiana; five foot ten, father from an American Indian extraction and a black mother. Magnificent body; 38D, 28, 36 nice round long legs and no knobby knees. Hans had offered to pay for her nursing school career if she stayed a virgin for him; her father agreed for a fat sum of money also did she for the career. Six months later Hans had her fly in for Emmanuel. Emmanuel arrived on time and found this beautiful black woman waiting for him, he smelled her and alas, she was indeed a virgin but he also sensed that she would also be one of the Fourteen. He growled under his breath. Emmanuel walked towards Hans, patted him in the back without saying a word; and walked slowly towards her staring at her eyes. She was immediately attracted to him and swooned when he pulled her to dance. One thing led to another and once in bed he asked for her name, “Helen” she replied.
“Why are you still a virgin at this age?”
“Don’t laugh, but I have never been sexually aroused and have never been attracted to no man. I though for some time that I might be a lesbian, but I also do not like other women. But, you know what? I feel completely at ease with you.”
He replied, “I know and I will discover your sexuality.” Slowly he undressed her; caressing every bit of her marvelous ebony body and making her shiver at his every touch. He made her get on all fours on the bed and positioned himself behind her. He lubricated his manhood from her dripping vagina and possessed her from behind leaving her virginity intact. Her round and protruding cheeks trembled. When she felt his prodding and assault of her behind, her pent up lust exploded, he had found her G spot. In less than five energized minutes of his pumping and caressing her clitoris at the same time, she exploded in paroxysms of multiple orgasms which he felt through her tremors; so he kept on going, pumping for a full ten minutes. She kept having orgasm after orgasm until she finally fell forward completely exhausted. He fell also forward with her, ramming his entire masculinity inside her, the ramming was so brutal that her eyes opened wide and she let out a muffled yell, and had another orgasm. He kept pumping until he reached his massive orgasm and pulled out. When she felt this, her paroxysms started again and shook her for a full minute, and then she fainted. When she woke up, he told her that she was very special and that when she finished her nursing school and had some practice he would be calling her to be with him and his group. From this moment on, she was his most fervent admirer.
Galen on the other hand had been retired as a professional photographer since age sixty, thirteen year ago when his mind suddenly went astray. He suddenly developed a fear of flying and since his profession had kept him in airplanes most of the time he decided to retire. Also he started to fear for his life. He eventually moved to the outskirts of his hometown of Agadez and had built a comfortable wood and straw bungalow; one bedroom, living area, terrace/balcony, a small kitchen, and indoors bathroom. He had a large screen television installed with satellite connection to keep in touch with the world and went into complete reclusion. His rocking chair, with the back to the wall was in front of the TV set, a side table with four cups filled with sharpened pencils, a large box filled with notepads, and a pencil sharpener bolted to the table was all the furniture and fixtures in the living area. The terrace/balcony had a hammock hung in one corner with a dressed plastic mannequin inside; but he never used the hammock. He sat in front of the telly for hours on end with a large notebook in his hand taking notes of everything that was happening in the news. This day the news media was covering a visit from the American President to the French counterpart, as they were showing the salutation protocols; many handshakes and more smiles. His notes were intelligible scribbling on the note pads, but his mind was receiving other information. Everything that was said about both presidents were secret coded messages about him.
“Galen, the famous photographer from Niger has albums of photographs of the Russian Prime Minister and other public officials in embarrassing situations. We must obtain this evidence at all costs!”
He heard the rumble of automobile tires on the long dirt and stone pathway from the main dirt road to his house. He scrambled to the door with his shotgun and started yelling, “Avast, avast! Do not come near me, I am armed and I am dangerous. You cannot get to me, and you will not take me alive.”
Hila had been sent to talk to Galen in behalf of Emmanuel, for he had sensed that Galen would be one of the Fourteen. The driver had seen what seemed to be a weapon in his hands and stopped short of arriving to the bungalow. As she opened the door of the limousine about ten yards from the doorway and she did not believe the sight she saw; a thin frail old black man under the door sill, ill fitting clothes, trembling, shouting, and holding a walking cane in the fashion of a rifle. She started to walk closer to him but he shook the “rifle” in a menacing way. “Avast, Avast! Keep away!”
She decided to turn away.
He was quite satisfied with himself; he had succeeded to scare off a truckload of foreign agents dressed in desert camouflage. He smiled, caressed his shotgun, and placed it behind the door; and returned to his notebooks.
Two days later Emmanuel came to see Galen, again he stood in the door sill with his “rifle” and shouting; only that this time he saw a tall good looking man dressed in khaki pants and shirt with shoulder length black hair getting off a stretch limo, and he had a peaceful aura around him. Galen motioned with his “shotgun” for Emmanuel to come inside the house; the first person to enter in many years. “Peace with you Galen, I am Emmanuel and I came for you. Please look at yourself in the mirror” Galen saw for the first time in many years a sunken eyed, bearded and jaded old man, buried deep in large fitting ragged and dirty clothes, and he gasped. He kept looking at the unknown image in the mirror and scratched his unkempt beard. A blurry vision of himself that cleared up as his mind cleared up little by little; he even tried to clean the clean mirror with his hand. Emmanuel put his hands on his shoulders and said, “Be well. I will need you soon.”
Galen stood in front of the mirror still half stupefied and nodding.
One year before being summoned to the first meeting of the Fourteen, Martinha had just finished filming the drama/comedy Meteoro and was very exhausted from the months of filming in a Brazilian desert one thousand miles from nowhere. Her companion and script writer/director of this film was in the San Sebastián Festival in Spain presenting the movie; so she had retired to a small town near her home town of Belém to rest from the hassles of Brasilia and Rio. She was sitting on a large rock overlooking a small river dropping from a nine foot drop into a cascade that exploded in iridescent colors when the sun had reached its peak. The morning had been cool and very cloudy almost menacing rain, but she started her walk with her small backpack where many childhood memories were awakened. Memories that lasted the twenty minute walk to the river, from picking mangoes and tamarind from the road side trees to frolicking as a small girl with other small friends of both sexes buck naked in the cold water of the river. The only bad memory of this place had remained buried in her subconscious; one sunny morning she had arrived alone at the small water fall and stooped to grab a handful of water to quench her thirst when suddenly one of her friends named Gordo came out of behind the waterfall “yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!” She was so scared that she peed herself. But the wrath of a peed woman was insurmountable and even though Gordo was fifty pounds and four inches taller then her, she pounced on him like a wild cat hitting him until she got tired. And the profanities that she uttered were in Portuguese, Spanish, and in German.
Poor Gordo held his own crouching along a boulder with his hands over his head averting the blows. But not even his being afraid of her held him back from repeating the story to all their friends, especially about her peeing on herself. At first she was very ashamed, but since she did not make heed at their taunts, they eventually stopped; it was not fun anymore. Today, that memory made her laugh. A whole series of childhood memories was flashing before her eyes; she even thought this could be good material for a movie; so she made a mental notation to mention it to Manolín. She was awakened from her daydreams by feeling the difference between the cool air to a suddenly hot fierce sun bearing on her. Squinting to the sun’s radiance she saw that the clouds had cleared and the day had turned into a beautiful cloudless day, the sun had risen to his apex and the waterfall was reflecting a myriad of colors dancing around the riverside. “Olá, Martinha.” She jumped up startled. “I am Emmanuel and I am sorry to startle you, I was told by Mr. Saldanha that you were here. I have seen all your productions and laughed loudly in Meteoro. By the way you walked the tight rope it seemed like you had done that before.”
“No, I learned just for the movie,” she said coquettishly and very proudly.
“I just came from the presentation at the San Sebastián Festival. I tried to meet your companion Mr. De la Texeira but to no avail, he was very busy.”
“Sir I am at a disadvantage, you seem to know me but I do not know who you are.”
“I am Emmanuel.” At that moment, who he was, and why he was here was clarified in her mind in a rapid succession of images.
“When will you be calling? I have to get my affairs in order.”
“You will know two months in advance before you get the call from my mother, Hila.”
Martinha, after he left, opened her backpack pulled out her sandwich, a half frozen bottle of water and a pack of papers sewn together that she had never seen before of unknown origin; a copy of an old manuscript. It read: The quatrains from Michel de Nostradame born in 1503 and who died in 1566. Handed down to his son and later donated to Pope Urban VIII. Due to pressure and scrutiny of the infamous Inquisition, the author had to scramble the meaning and order of these quatrains; making sure that humanity would not use them until they are ready.
The original manuscript was found in the depths of the Italian National Library; an unknown manuscript by Michel de Nostradame, or Nostradamus; four hundred years later. Was humanity ready to decode it? Has the time already arrived?
Dr. Michael Rathford since 1975 has used cutting edge data to sift this complex writing for patterns and relationships and came up with a predictive novel for this prophet, The Nostradamus Code.
In the Autobahn A1 from Hamburg to Bremen nearing the Hittfeld exit a charter bus marked Lisle Bus Service was speeding at 130 kilometers per hour on the left lane, Gunther the driver was running late to reach the Intercity Hotel in Bremen due to some ice forming in the super highway. Nineteen passengers from many different countries were stopping at this northwestern city. Five cars behind was a white Mercedes stretch limo carrying Hila and Emmanuel; at this moment Emmanuel instructed the driver to slow down and permit the traffic to advance, five minutes later he ordered the driver to speed up in the right lane and when the bus was close by he ordered the driver to go to the curb and stop.
At this exact same moment the bus was skidding on a patch of ice, slowly fishtailing to the left and hitting the center divide lifting the rear end of the bus and slamming the rear end down again. The bus also made a 180 º turn and slammed sideways into the center divide doing a back flip ten feet in the air and landing wheels up, crushing the bus top slightly; all glass windows blew out; smoke started to billow from inside the bus, and a black and a green liquid started to seep into the road.
Immediately cell phones from nearby cars started to call the emergency lines. Emmanuel stepped down from the limo followed by Hila and both started walking towards the smashed bus. By the time they got there three ambulances, the police, and a fire truck were arriving there, all from a nearby station. Luckily no other car had been involved in the accident and the roads were clear for the emergency services to arrive. Among the nineteen passengers were Mauricio from Yucatan, Gerardo from Montevideo, Indira Suresh from India, and Omar from Assuan, Egypt; all pronounced dead by the paramedics and placed in bags nearby the ambulances. They were the first to be taken out from the rear of the bus. Firemen were still cutting with the Jaws of Life into the twisted frame of the bus to get more passengers out separating the dead and giving more attention to the living. The scene was Dantesque, smoke billowing from the bus mixed with the cold damp air, cars aligned up and down the road with curious people trampling around the area that was cordoned off by the very efficient police and firemen. Emmanuel was dressed in a tan leather trench coat, and Hila was dressed in a smart blue fleece jacket covering her full length dress and taupe calf-high boots.
Emmanuel squatted among the four bodies and put his hand upon the chest of two of them first; muttered some intelligible words and a glow of light went slowly from his wrists down to his hands and into the bodies. Both bodies jerked and tore the bags open gasping for air. He repeated the operation on the other two. The four of them stared at Emmanuel blankly, not understanding what had happened. Hila came closer and helped them up. “Let’s go to our car, we will take you to your hotel and will explain everything on the way. We will leave note with the paramedics to notify your names to the tour agency and that you are going ahead of the group.” Emmanuel led the way while Hila talked to one of the paramedics and explained that when they arrived near the bodies she had detected movement. “Impossible, they had been pronounced dead!”
“As you can see they are well alive and walking away to the limo with my son. Here are their names so you can notify the charter bus people; thank you kindly.” The paramedic scratched his head, shrugged his shoulders and ran back to the bus to help.
Once the limo started to move the four new passengers sitting back to the driver started at the same time in their broken English; “What happened? Who are you?”
Hila started saying, “There was a bad crash for your vehicle and many were injured and some were dead.” They had a view of the aftermath of the crash through the tiny limo window as they sped away.
Omar said, “I am, well… was a doctor, no . . . I am still a doctor, but recently retired. I can almost certify that I was dead; I could swear that I saw a tunnel of emptiness and a dot of reddish light at the end. Suddenly I felt a sharp pain, like one thousand stabbings; then I felt numb and suddenly a tingling as if a hundred scarabs were walking all over my body. I gasped for air and tore the bag open.”
“I felt that too” said Indira, “And I could swear I saw Kali, the Dark Mother.” All assented.
“Omar, Indira, Mauricio and Gerardo; I am Emmanuel and since all of you are special for me I have brought you back with a dual purpose, indeed you were dead. One: I will need you soon to be of service to me. Second: I have brought you back to life after being pronounced dead, in order for you to believe in me.”
Mauricio commented, “But we are from different religious factions.”
“Omar, I know you are a retired doctor and an agnostic, Mauricio is an accountant and catholic, Indira has her own shop in Jaipur; and Gerardo you are a hotel manager and a Baptist minister. These are skills that I will need with ten other chosen ones soon in order to accomplish my mission. This is not another religion.”
Hila said, “I am his mother and I will explain this more clearly over dinner at Fleming’s restaurant in your hotel. At the chosen moment you will be called and placed on our payroll. Things are to pass that our offer at that moment will be accepted whether you are still working or retired. Also here are some euros to tide you over for the following days.” She gave them 2,000 € each. The four were shocked at this moment, especially when he knew so much about them. They themselves had met a few days ago and had talked only when they sat in the rear of the chartered bus. That night they met at the hotel with the survivors that had not been sent to the Stenum Hospital. They compared notes on the accident but were really horrified by what they saw on the news on the small TV set; mangled bodies, one dead, some slightly injured, some badly injured and taken to the nearest hospital in Bremen. The slightly injured cheered themselves when they saw their scared faces in the news in the hotel bar. Of course Omar, Indira, Mauricio, and Gerardo had left before the camera crews arrived; but this did not raise any suspicions.
“…………..This accident has been one of the worst this Autobahn has ever seen. It was caused by a freak ice patch according to the driver. Thanks to the Great Architect only a few were seriously injured and only one death to lament. This is your reporter Kemal Tursan signing off.”
As soon as the passengers and the driver had been cleared, the bus burst in flames and even with the fire trucks throwing foam on the bus, the vehicle exploded; all belongings were lost. Omar and Indira offered the other companions loans until they get money from the charter company to replace the lost luggage. Only two takers, two students from Puerto Rico, Raúl and Maribel. No more injuries were reported.
In Taipei, Taiwan at the Howard Plaza Hotel in the Rainbow Terrace restaurant during the afternoon tea buffet, Rachel was meeting with her internet boyfriend Chang Huang. Rachel was born by mistake in Antarctica but was raised in France; she studied her Bachelorship in Secretarial Sciences and Office Administration on a scholarship. Her parents had died three years ago and not having any family she had to fend for herself and immersed herself in her studies. Immediately after her parent’s death she discovered that she had Diabetes type 2; which did not make it easy to be a student, on a budget for meals and medicine. Chang and Rachel had met one year before through the Internet and had arranged to meet today both contributing to her traveling and meals expenses. The Hotel stay was a gift from Chang’s cousin, manager of the hotel. They hit it off beautifully and went dancing that night. Next morning Rachel complained of pain in a toe due to a corn. Huang decided to bring her to his favorite sidewalk resident herbalist Chinese doctor, Mao Xie, whom attached a leech to the corn and later a poultice of mushrooms and other herbs to close the wound because she was a diabetic. Everything went fine and Chang took her sightseeing all day with open sandals, but somehow her toe got infected and was suddenly turning black. Chang rushed her to the Taiwan Adventist Hospital in the Songshan District where Dr. Wong Lianshen pronounced gangrene and suggested amputating from the calf down since the chemicals in the poultice had caused the gangrene to spread rapidly and if left unchecked the whole leg might have to go. They were both devastated, but decided for the early amputation and a new diabetes treatment by Dr Bo Shu Hsiun who called the method Bu Shen. Sobbing on Chang’s shoulder Rachel was saying “Now what can I do, I am not attractive anymore. This is the second worst thing that has happened to me.”
“Don’t worry your pretty little head, everything will be all right.”
The next day Emmanuel entered her room at the hospital. “Bon jour Rachel, I am Emmanuel and I am going to need your help soon. You do not know me but we will call you and Chang soon in order for both of you to come and work for us. By the way, where is Chang?”
“He went home to change; he spent the night with me here.” At that precise moment Chang entered. “Ni hau Chang Huang, I am Emmanuel and I am here to help you both and to recruit you to work for us in a near future. Soon all your questions will be answered.” He turned to Rachel, placed his hands on her shoulders and said “Rachel, I need you whole again and by the will of the Father you will be whole again,” and he left as abruptly as he had arrived. Both looked at each other puzzlingly, suddenly the lights dimmed and they say a tongue of fire on each other’s head; and they understood and were not afraid anymore. Rachel’s calf started to itch horribly so they called the doctor. Upon examination the doctor determined that the amputation scar had healed completely and that the foot was growing back. He told them that it was medically impossible and that he was utterly stumped so he will call for consultation with the best possible specialists, but since nor Rachel or Huang could explain what happened or what they knew, they fled the hospital and stayed at his apartment for some time until he could obtain a transfer in his job to France which surprisingly only took one week. The news caused a big hullabaloo in the press but since Rachel and Huang had disappeared the news just faded away.
Six months before the first meeting of the Fourteen Emmanuel met in Hamburg with Kemal Tursan; “Kemal, soon you will understand what I am going to tell you, in the meanwhile you will be reassigned to Russia for your reporter work; we will be calling you soon for you to work with us which will not interfere with your actual work. You have done a great job as a reporter and many great things will come your way. I have recruited thirteen more persons from all walks of life and different backgrounds and I must leave now to prepare myself for what is to happen.”
