Introduction
Why was I compelled once more, as an author, to write about the persistent theme "Quality of Life"? From the top of my 91 years of age, I had the opportunity to see a lot of things, share and observe several situations, out of my habit to become interested in a field as renowned and rich as human health through research and self-taught studies.
Although we are perfect machines, we need the proper fuel and additives to achieve longevity. And I want to share with you, dear reader, why this fuel is called "Quality of Life."Without quality of life it does not make sense wanting to prolong life, as it is essential to enjoy it fully.
What is Quality of Life ?
Today, we hear so much about "Quality of Life." But in the end, could you describe it? Essentially, quality of life involves health - including physical well-being, psychological, emotional and mentally - the unison in the family under any circumstances and the professional and social fulfillment, to ensure a longer and placid life.
Thus, it should be emphasized that for the promotion of the quality of life it is advisable to enjoy both, mental and physical health - always interrelated!
But how to keep both conditions?
Before citing specific guidance and advice, let us view some generic comments on the main aspects underlying these two fields.
Let´s begin with mental health, because it is the starting point for good healthiness on a global basis, leading to the quality of life and the lasting happiness. It presumes the absence of persistent anxiety, stress, depression and the tendency to negative states, such as irritation, anger, hate, sadness, inferiority complex and others that tumult your mind.
The mental health, depending upon the predisposition of each person, can be strengthened by regular practice of spiritual proven resources, such as Relaxation and Meditation, Yoga or others of widely proven efficiency.
