Introduction
Holy Hash Tags, Batman!
I have to say that of all my various blog posts about writing, publishing, YA, zombies, vampires and social media COMBINED, my most popular posts are hands down anything I write about freakin’ hash freakin’ tags!!!!
What I find in the comments section, on Twitter and in private emails, however, is that while folks are more than happy to learn how to use hash tags, or even when, what they really, really, REALLY want is sample hash tags to use; right now, today.
It’s kind of like the old Dragnet line: “Just the hash tags, ma’am!”
So, with no prelude or fancy pants diatribe (I know, shocking right?!?!) here are my all-time favorite, most epically effective, 151 Hash Tags for YA Authors:

Conclusion:
So there you have it. I use this document as a kind of “copy and paste” template that I keep on my desktop at all times. So if I’m tweeting something about zombies; boom, I just refer to the top five or six zombie hash tags and away I go.
Of course, I’m continually updating and just now as I go to post this, I checked the #zombie hash tag for relevance and found two more: #horror and #undead!
In fact, pretty much every time I click on a new hash tag, I find two or three more; try it and see for yourself.
So definitely you should see this list as a growing, living, fertile thing; just like everything you do in social media, when it comes to hash tags change is a constant and growth a necessity!
