What others have said about Sorrow Tears
“There are some amazing lines in here. Very sad, insightful and too profound.”
- Neeraj (a Smashwords member), India
The Rock
The rock I leaned upon
Carried the name of my family.
The arms that held me tightly
Belonged to my family.
The voice that called out to me
During the hard times
Came from the lips of my family.
And I walked down the path of life
Holding the hands of my family.
But so sadly I am now dead,
For Death has no family,
And Death has no feelings,
And Death is indifferent to a family bond.
In this darkness, that is my new home,
In this darkness, that is neither Heaven nor Hell,
I smile when I think of my family,
But I also cry, for my eyes will never see them again.
Untitled
When your love
Became a painful memory,
When your kiss
Became a burning scar,
When your eyes
Became a hazed memory,
The very day you died.
For The One That Has Gone
The world lost
The day you no longer existed.
Everybody remembers you
Just the way you were.
Your two eyes,
Two stars.
Your every smile,
A blooming rose.
Your every word,
A song.
But now
Your eyes,
Your smile,
Your words,
All gone.
All your hopes and dreams,
Smoke.
You took a piece
Of all of us,
The deepest in our hearts,
And all you left us were memories.
Memories of a lifetime of joy.
Yet we begin a lifetime of sorrow
In your memory.
Forever rest in peace.
Untitled
The words of mere mortals
Are never enough
For one to express man's pain
That burns his soul,
Tears him in to thousands of pieces
And leaves him naked in the raging storm
Of the bitterness of life.
Untitled
I will die with a smile
If you hold me for a while
And tell me that it will all be all right.
Here Forever
In a flash
You were gone
And I could no longer see you.
But when I looked up at the sky
Through the clouds I saw your smile,
Through the bird's songs I heard your voice.
And when I looked down at the sea
Through the water I saw your reflection.
So I know
That in a way
You will be here forever,
And there will always be
A place in my heart
For you.
Untitled
You wished that you could fly
Before you could even walk.
So I taught you.
But one day
You flew so high
That you reached the sun
And it burned you.
The Entourage of Death
Death never comes alone,
It is always followed by
Sorrow, pain, tears,
Coldness and dark,
Along with the chaos
Of a plethora of souls.
Untitled
Death cannot be seen.
Death can only be felt.
It breaks your heart
In many pieces
And leaves you all alone.
Untitled
What if words fail me
When I need them the most,
What if memories escape me
When I need to remember,
What if I can not feel hope<br>
When that is what I need in order to face tomorrow,
Will you be by my side,
Will you hold out your hand to me
Or will you turn your back
And leave me all alone
Weighted down by every cold reminder
Of a meaningless life.
Untitled
If only I could
I would sleep
And never awake.
If only I could
I would pretend
That I am here alone.
If only I could
I would dream of happiness.
If only I could
I would die today
And be reborn tomorrow.
