With so much to do in such a little time, our spiritual life can sometimes suffer. However, it is of the utmost importance that we spend time with God daily. GIANTS DO FALL

1 Samuel 17:45 (KJV)

Then said David to the Philistine, Thou comest to me with a sword, and with a spear, and with a shield: but I come to thee in the name of the LORD of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom thou hast defied.

By faith, David boldly approached Goliath armed with only his shepherd’s staff, sling and five smooth stones. God enabled David to defeat the Philistine giant with just one shot.

When the giants (problems and obstacles) of life start to overwhelm you, remember that through the power of God, giants do fall.

PLANTED BY STREAMS

Psalm 1:2-3 (KJV)

But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in his law doth he meditate day and night. And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.

When we live out God's Word and do His will, we will be like the flourishing tree planted by streams. Our thirst will be quenched and we will be continually refreshed. God will make our way prosperous when His Word is hidden in our hearts.

UNSHAKABLE FAITH

Mark 11:22-24 (KJV)

And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God. For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith. Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.

Are you facing impossible demands today? Jesus said that if we have faith in God, nothing will be impossible for us. Prayer backed by an unshakable confidence in the power of God can make what is humanely impossible, possible.

THE WATER SHALL COME

2 Kings 3:17 (KJV)

For thus saith the LORD, Ye shall not see wind, neither shall ye see rain; yet that valley shall be filled with water, that ye may drink, both ye, and your cattle, and your beasts.

Despite the drought like conditions that we may live in from time to time, Christians have reason to remain hopeful. Scripture tells us that despite being in a drought, God can still make the water come.

Nothing is impossible for God. He can do whatever He pleases. As long as we remain faithful to God, we are connected to the One who can meet all of our needs.

***

THE EYES OF GOD

2 Chronicles 16:9 (KJV)

For the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to shew himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him. Herein thou hast done foolishly: therefore from henceforth thou shalt have wars.

Isn’t it wonderful that the eyes of God see everything? He is aware of all of our difficulties; from the biggest to the smallest. God is looking for His people so that He can show Himself strong. Stay faithful and committed to God. He alone has the power to deliver us from our problems.

***

GOD'S ECONOMY

Proverbs 11:25 (KJV)

The liberal soul shall be made fat: and he that watereth shall be watered also himself.

God’s economy is not like that of the world. Though it may seem contradictory, when we help others, we will be helped ourselves. Don’t be afraid to be generous with your time, talent and treasure. The Bible tells us that God prospers charitable people.

***

THE ROCK

Psalm 17:6-9 (KJV)

I have called upon thee, for thou wilt hear me, O God: incline thine ear unto me, and hear my speech.

Shew thy marvellous lovingkindness, O thou that savest by thy right hand them which put their trust in thee from those that rise up against them.

Keep me as the apple of the eye, hide me under the shadow of thy wings,

From the wicked that oppress me, from my deadly enemies, who compass me about.

When we pray to God and seek His protection, we can expect to receive an answer. Those that look for safety in God are the “apple of His eye.” When trouble comes, flee to God and seek refuge under the Rock.

***

THE GOOD PATH

Psalm 37:23-26 (KJV)

The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD: and he delighteth in his way.

Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the LORD upholdeth him with his hand.

I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread.

He is ever merciful, and lendeth; and his seed is blessed.

Do not fear when you walk through treacherous territory because the Lord protects the righteous. He makes our steps secure and goes before us to clear the way. The presence of the Lord is always with His people.

GOD GIVES THE INCREASE

2 Kings 4:2 (KJV)

And Elisha said unto her, What shall I do for thee? tell me, what hast thou in the house? And she said, Thine handmaid hath not any thing in the house, save a pot of oil.

God can take what looks insignificant and turn it into something extraordinary. When we lift up all that we have to God, He can bless us mightily. A little goes a long way with the Lord’s blessing.

***

THREE THINGS

2 Chronicles 7:14 (KJV)

If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

It’s not too late. God still desires you. You can find your way back into His will. If you would do three things, God will bless you in three ways. If you become humble, seek God through prayer and turn away from sin, God will hear your prayers, forgive your sins and heal your soul. Turn back to the Lord and He will deliver you.
