2012

As soon as 2012 rolled around, the question started coming at me, hot and heavy. Almost every question pertains to December 21, 2012. What will happen on that day; will the world come to an end? The answer is the same answer I have been giving people for the last ten years or so; the world is not going to end on that day or any other day for the next 1007 years, at least.

When I give that answer, people roll their eyes and ask how can I make a statement like that. The reason I can make that kind of a statement is because I have read the Book and the Book tells me almost everything I need to know about the future. The Book tells me what is going to happen first, second, and so on right down the line. If you would like to know what I am talking about then you must read the rest of what I have written. If you are not interested in the future then get a sack of popcorn and watch a movie while I tell others about 2012.

I remember years ago, when I first started studying about 2012. In 1999, people all over the world were afraid of the new millennium and what was going to happen to the world. Would the computers continue to function or would they all collapse? While looking at the new millennium, I stumbled onto December 21, 2012.

The one thing I noticed was that the Mayan Calendar ended on December 21, 2012. The other thing I noticed and what I read was that the Mayan Calendar was written in blocks of years. The current block is 5,125 years long. I believe the Mayans thought they would be around for the end of that block and then they could put together a second block of years, starting on December 22, 2012. Since they did not know the future, they did not know they would be defeated and put into slavery. Basically, the end of their dating is December 21, 2012 and it is not the end of the world.

I have been asked to speculate on that date. Since that date is not the end of the world, could that date have a significant meaning for some other reason? I will speculate on the date, because I believe if it is not the end of the world, but could there be something that will happen on that date?

Let me ask that IF the Rapture were to occur forty five days before December 21, could the Tribulation start on that date? If you have read any of my books, you know that I believe the Rapture will occur forty five days before the Antichrist signs a peace treaty with Israel and the Arab countries that are at war. The reason I believe this is because of what Daniel says in chapter 12 of his book.

First, we must go to the New Testament and see what John has to say about the first half of the Tribulation. John says in Revelation 11:3 - And I will give power unto my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and threescore days (1, 260) clothed in sackcloth. These two witnesses will be on earth during the last half of the Tribulation. Daniel tells us in 9:27 that the Tribulation will be seven years long. If the last half of the Tribulation is 1, 260 days long the first half must be the same length in days. The first half will be 1, 260 long. But, what does Daniel tell us in chapter 12? Daniel gives us the exact number of days in the second half of the Tribulation. What John forgot about was the way the Jewish calendar was set up in the Old Testament days in which Daniel lived. The calendar, at that time, only had thirty days to each month. Every six years, the Jews would add thirty extra days to the calendar so it would be correct. Daniel did the same thing in verse 11 of chapter 12 - And from the time that the daily sacrifice shall be taken away, and the abomination that maketh desolate set up, there shall be a thousand two hundred and ninety days (1, 290). The Bible is telling us that the Antichrist will go into the temple at the mid-point of the Tribulation and from that point to the end of the Tribulation is 1,290 days.

The Antichrist will kill the two witnesses of God on the 1,260th day and 30 days later the Tribulation will end with the appearance of Christ. Now look at verse 12 of chapter 12 - Blessed is he that waiteth, and cometh to the thousand three hundred and five and thirty days (1,335). Now what the Bible is telling us is that there will be a forty five day lull period from the end of the Tribulation until the beginning of the millennium. Why is there a forty five day lull period? I believe the forty five day lull period is the time that Christ is judging the nations. Every person that was saved during the Tribulation and is still alive will get to go into the millennium. Everyone that rejected during the Tribulation will be cast into Hades to wait for the Great White Throne Judgment.

I have said all of that to say that if you have a lull after the Tribulation, I believe there has to be a lull before the Tribulation. I believe it is totally impossible for the Rapture to occur on a certain day and the next day the Antichrist shows up on the world scene and enters into a peace treaty with Israel and the Arab nations that are at war with Israel. I believe it will take at least thirty or more days to get things worked out so there can be peace in the Middle East.

Now let us get back to the Rapture. If the Rapture occurred forty five days before December 21, could December 21 be the day the Antichrist signs the peace treaty that begins the Tribulation? First, I don't want people to think that I am setting a date for the Rapture, because I am not doing that. I could count backwards and give you that date, but I will not, because I know we do not know the day, the hour, or the second that Christ will return for his Bride. It is possible that the Tribulation could begin on December.

What could occur on December 21? Let us say the Rapture occurs some time before December 21. The Antichrist and False Prophet could tell the world that they are going to fund the building of the Jewish Temple. December 21 could be the day the construction starts on the temple.

Others have stated that the temple could be built in six months, if they had ten thousand workers working on the temple. If the Rapture would occur before July 21 and the construction took place almost immediately after the Rapture, maybe the dedication of the temple would occur on December 21, 2012.

I will give you more of my speculating later, but first I need to back up just a little so I can explain a statement I made at the very beginning of this writing. I stated that December 21 is not the end of the world. I stated that we have 1,007 years left. The reason I made that statement is because of what the Bible teaches us about the future. Each and every year since I have been saved, I have expected that the Rapture would occur. I know what the Bible teaches about the Rapture and I know that we are that generation that will see the Rapture. If I know those things to be true, then I must be looking for my Savior everyday of the week.

In Matthew 24:34 - Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled. Jesus is talking about the generation that saw Israel become a nation. Israel became a nation on May 14, 1948. Those people in the generation that saw Israel become a nation will be raptured The generation that saw Israel become a nation is called the Baby Boomers Generation. A generation is twenty to thirty years in length and a life span is three score and ten years or 70 in length.

The Bible tells us that the Tribulation is seven years in length and the Bible says the Millennium is one thousand years in length. Now you see why I say we have at least 1,007 years left on earth. No matter how bad the Tribulation is going to be, it will not destroy the earth. Christ will have to fulfill Bible Prophecy and the Bible is emphatic that He will rule the world from Jerusalem for a thousand years.

Getting back to December 21, what would happen if there was an Arab terrorist that blew up the Dome of the Rock? If he was not caught, the Arabs would probably think it was the Jews. If the Arab world thought it was a Jewish faction that blew up the Dome of the Rock, that could start a war between Israel and other Arab countries. December 21 could be the day the Dome is blown up or it could be the day war was declared between Israel and the Arab bloc.

I know a lot of people would like for me to say that December 21 is the day of the Rapture. I am not going to say that because I know of all the days in the world, that is the one day IT WILL NOT OCCUR. The Bible is as plain as the nose on everyone's face; we will not know the day of His return for His Bride.

Twice last year, Harold Camping said the Rapture would occur on certain days of the year. He did receive publicity all over the world and there were reports that people sold everything they had and gave it to him. I don't know if those reports are true or not. If they are, shame on him for predicting the day and for receiving their money. Harold Camping is an old, feeble man that is looking for the limelight in the last of his years. We should have pity for this man. If he stands at the Judgment Seat of Christ, he WILL lose all rewards he would have received.

The last idea I have for December 21 would be about the Ark of the Covenant. What if the Ark was found under the Old City? I am speaking about Old Jerusalem. There has been a lot of excavating going on under the city and relics have been found. If the Ark was found and it was shown to the world on that day, it would be another authentication that the Bible is the Word of God. This could bring on a war between Israel and the Arab countries.

I have given you speculation after speculation. What do I believe is going to happen on December 21, 2012? NOTHING!! Could I be wrong? The answer is YES. Any of the above speculations or something else could occur on December 21, but not the Rapture.
