Free Verse- Moonlight Promise

The stars in the sky

Shine with a soft light

Bathing nature

In a soft ghostly glow

The moon shines down

To illuminate

Birds sleeping in trees

Crickets making noises

Deer huddling together

In the forest

The light shines down

In a meadow

A desert

A sea

A forest

The sky can be peaceful

Calming and sweet

Or dark and scary

With clouds rolling

Over the light of the stars

Moonlight peeks down

To light a path

To your future

Your life

Your dreams

And gives you

A chance

To shine

As bright as the stars

Haiku- Feathers In The Sky

In the summertime

Angels fly throughout the sky

Wings glow in the sun

Sonnet- Guilty Pleasures

People make mistakes

Sometimes they are real

Or sometimes fake

Cutting is the real deal

A knife, a blade

A bloody wrist

The scars rarely fade

But it’s better than a broken fist

The blade cuts deep

Blood soon flows

Cutting isn’t cheap

But then your good to go

Hold your breath

And try not to bleed to death

Tanka- Nature Dreams

Dreams about nature

Birds and bees fly in the air

In my dream I fly

High above the ground I soar

I wish I really had wings

Diamonte-Happy face, Sad face

Thrilled

Happy Laughing

Frowning Upset Scared

Pain Fear Depression Anger

Crying Screaming Hating

Numb Paralyzed

Apathetic

Couplet- For a Good Dream, Lean on Me

When you go to sleep tonight lean

On me so you’ll have a good dream
