BLIND
There once was a guy
Who had eyes
He could see
But was blind
He met a girl
Great as the world
Eyes of blue
As deep as the oceans
Lost his mind
A letter he sent
Went crazy he did
Her voice was missed
Fear so great
Now feels regret
Was he right
Will she forgive
Maybe or not
Time will tell
Who really knows
What should have been
PAIN
Pain
Many kinds there are
Physical, mental, emotional
Some good
Some not
Pain
Let's you know
Alive you are
Especially the good
Even the bad
Embrace it fully
Feel the life
Find the good
Forget the bad
THUMP
My heart beats alone
To the only drum I know
Mine own
One rhythm it goes
Thump thump thump
Only one beat it knows
One day it stops
Cause it's all alone
No more beats it's gone
COLD
I've caught a cold
From the ice in my soul
Fire can't burn
Cause the ice is so cold
The fire died
When the walls closed in
No oxygen to breathe
Fire can't burn
Heart so cold
Dying for heat
Walls so tight
Fire doesn't burn
Soul cold as space
Dying for warmth
So cold it burns
Fire doesn't burn in outer space
I AM REAL
Yes I am
Different than most
A romantic deep inside
More a lover than a fighter
Give me a chance
Take a chance
Experience real romance
For I am real
Open the door
I'm knocking a lot
I see a crack
Let me in I am real
Romance lives
As does chivalry
Smile and accept
Live a fairy tale

How much time
Starting over seems too long
One step back is ok
Moving fast is too much
When you're scared
Fear brings excitement
And old pain
Time heals all they say

Just waits for time to come
How much time is enough
To quell the fear
No one knows

Almost gone always near
Bringer of pain
Rearing its head
Down I say stay away
Only another can force it away
Looming and lurking
Hiding in the shadows

Keep loneliness far away

How far is far
Today it's much closer
Whether by train or car
Far is now near here
With phones and computers
The next town is now next door
Roads get bigger and faster
Bringing the far near
Technologies bring near to you
So how far is far now

When you smile
I forget to breathe
When you look at me
My heart stops
When you touch me
I melt
When you kiss me
I fly high in the sky
When I see you
Joy fills me
BEAUTY
Voice of melodies
Eyes like stars
Body of a goddess
Beauty incarnate you are.

Still feel the pain
Seven short years ago
You were taken away
Just like yesterday
I feel the pain
Why did you go
So far away

The pain hides
