The Science of Religion for Mankind – Shreemad Bhagwad Geeta - Yatharth Geeta | by Shri Paramhans Swami Adgadanandji Ashram Trust May 08, 2012 | 156654 words | Read a sample |
| Author bio: Swami Shri Adgadanad Ji Maharaj came to the recluse of the worldly saint Paramanand Ji at the age of 23 years in November 1955 searching for the truth. The hermitage of Parmanand Ji was at Chitrakoot Anusuiya, Satna, Madhya Pradesh (India) amidst the dense forests infested with wild animals. Living in such inhabitable forest in the absence of any facility. This rightly reflects that he was a great sage. Reverend Paramhans Ji received premonitions of his arrival many years ago. The day he reached the ashram, Paramhans Ji received divine presage. He had declared to his disciples, “A young man who is ardently seeking to go beyond the periodicity of life must be coming at any moment now.†Moment he cast his eye upon him, Paramahans Ji declared, “Here he is!†Whenever a pupil comes in contact with a great sage, immediately it is beyond his senses to fathom the greatness of the sage. He was also intimated by the divine soul and chaste Brahmin, “The sages who have been incarnated in this world, your Guru has all those qualities and he is such sage. With the strengthening of his faith in the Guru his spiritual pursuit also speeded up. Guided under the angelic guidance of the Guru he set out on the path of spiritual freedom. The aim was established. Maharaj Ji, although was not interested in writing, following the godly directions he has contributed invaluable treatises through speech and in text for the social good. The first such publication is ‘Jeevanadarsh and Atmaanubhooti’ – is an account of the ideal life and the spiritual pursuit of his Guru Paramhans Paramanand Ji. It is a collection of his life sketch and many astonishing incidents. Many of the people are even alive today, who have seen such unique personality and for that matter they consider themselves very lucky. Secrets of the techniques of spiritual pursuits, which have been revealed to him by the Guru, have also been included in this book. It is one of the most appraised and invaluable books in today’s world, on the subject of spiritualism, which could only be perceived by the student on the path of attainment of spiritualism. The divine direction has become instrumental in the creation of this book. Since the thought , promulgated by the Yogeshwar Lord Krishna have been expressed in their simple rudimentary form, it is called ‘Yatharth Geeta’. Only a contemporary saint can find true solution for the social good, answers to their questions and solve their problems. The dead do not rule from the graves. To have reverence for the departed and take guidance from them to certain extent may be alright, however, for the contemporary problems, we need to take guidance from some great living saint only. Swami Ji has never advanced claim that he has attained divinity. He merely presents to the society, what he has been able to receive in his quest of Truth. |

Seâdet-i Ebediyye Endless Bliss Second Fascicle | by Hüseyn Hilmi Işık Dec. 08, 2011 | 156381 words | Read a sample |
Hiçbir zaman kendi görüşünü, kendi fikrini yazmayıp, daima Ehl-i sünnet âlimlerinin, anlayabilenleri hayran eden kıymetli yazılarını Arapça ve Farsça’dan tercüme ederek kitaplarında yayınlamıştır. Hüseyin Hilmi Işık Efendi, Ehl-i sünnet âlimlerinin kitaplarını okuyup anlayabilecek salih kimselerin azaldığını ve cahil kimselerin din adamları arasına karışarak, bozuk kitaplar yazıldığını görerek üzülmüş, (Fitne yayıldığı zaman, hakikati bilen, başkalarına bildirsin! Bildirmezse, Allah’ın ve bütün insanların laneti ona olsun) hadis-i şerifinde bildirilen tehditten dehşet duymuştur. Seadet-i Ebediyye ve diğer kitaplarında, binlerce mesele yazdı. Unutulmuş ilimleri ihya etti. (Ümmetim bozulduğu zaman bir sünnetimi ihya edene yüz şehid sevâbı verilir) hadis-i şerifini hep göz önünde tutarak, farzları, vacibleri, sünnetleri, hatta müstehabları uzun uzun yazdı. Dünyanın her tarafındaki insanlara İslamiyet’i doğru olarak tanıttı. Ehl-i sünnet âlimlerince tasvip edilen ve övülen, yüzlerce Arabî ve Fârisî eseri, Hakîkat Kitabevi vasıtasıyla yedi iklim, dört bucağa yaydı. Vehhabi, Hurufi, Kadiyani gibi bozuk fırkaların doğru yoldan ayrıldıkları noktaları, bütün dünyaya vesikalarla tanıttı. Ehl-i sünnet itikadı canlanmaya, kıpırdamaya ve yeşermeye başladı. Tecdid, dini yenileyip kuvvetlendirmek demektir. Sık sık "Vatan sevgisi imandandır" hadis-i şerîfini okurdu. Harvest | by Steve Merrifield Jan. 31, 2010 | 155472 words | Read a sample |
| Author bio: Welcome to my space on the Internet! I write fiction within the horror genre and have written e-book titles that are available for free download on the internet as well as commercial releases. For those of you that would like to know a little about me; I live in Essex in the UK with my partner and our two cats. I work for the health service with people with mental health issues, and I am trained as a counsellor in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). My private practice is on hold at the moment while I concentrate on my writing. Personally I am a sociable person, although many of my friends now live out of the area now, but I enjoy catching up with friends over a cup of tea and a cake when I can. I enjoy being out in the countryside on long walks. I am a fairly homely person and in my spare time I love films, TV, reading, and games, and I also have a burgeoning interest in history, mainly British history, Victorian, and the history of London, and folklore in general. My main interest though, as you probably guessed, is writing. I have attempted the traditional publishing routes, but have yet to get past the enquiry letter with agents or publishers. It's a tough market. I have not given up though and I have decided to self-publish. Being self-published there isn't a publishing house behind my work and that means; no launch, no big advertising campaign, no reviews in the press, and no shelf-position in your local book shop or library. I'm grateful even for a small audience because people would have given me their valuable time to read the work of a new writer. However, I want writing, my interest and hobby, to play a larger part in my life. For that to happen I need to achieve a greater readership. My work and I need your support. All I ask is that you read it, rate it, and recommend it to others. It would also be nice if you stuck around to see what happens in the future... I have my own site, and I am on twitter and facebook and welcome your comments and support come and say 'Hi'! |

The Age of Lost Innocence | by Damian M. Salo Dec. 10, 2010 | 155428 words | Read a sample |
| Author bio: My name is Damian Salo and I was born and raised outside Cleveland, Ohio. My father taught me a good work ethic while my mother taught me good morals. After graduating from Bedford High School, I obtained my BA in both Accounting and Finance at Kent State University, and due to the struggling economy, my best friend and I took our chances and settled in Brooklyn, NY. It’s true what they say. NYC is tough. But as an artist it forces you to mature, adapt, and to be creative. With so many people out here striving to do the exact same thing that you want to do, the question is: What will make you stand apart from the rest? Seven years later and after countless re-writes, I believe I have finally accomplished that. I crafted an epic fantasy that combines autobiographical stories of friendship, love, and fate with a touch of world politics, religion, and mysticism. More importantly, I wrote a novel that is true to myself. |

Sahaba ‘The Blessed’ | by Ahmad Fârûqî Dec. 21, 2011 | 155395 words | Read a sample |
| Author bio: Ahmad Fârûqî ‘quddisa sirruh’ was born in the city of Sihrind, situated on the route between Lahore and Delhi, India. ‘Sihrind’ means ‘black lion’. For, the city was first established by Sultân Fîrûz Shâh on a site that had formerly been a jungle of lions. It was not long after being born when Imâm Rabbânî caught an infantile disease. So his father took him to his own master Shâh Kemâl Kihtelî Qâdirî. “Don’t worry,†said the profoundly learned scholar. “This child prodigy is going to lead a long life and make a very great person.†Then he held the child by the hand and kissed him on the mouth. Upon this the fayz and nûr (light, haloe) of Abdulqâdir Geylânî ‘radiy-Allâhu ’anh’ pervaded his blessed body. He received his initial education from his father, learned Arabic, and memorized the Qur’ân al-kerîm in his early childhood. Possessed of a mellifluous voice, he recited the sûras like a nightingale singing. He memorized several booklets on various sciences and went to the city of Siyâlkût (Sialkot), where he studied some positive sciences and learned a great deal from Mawlânâ Kemâladdîn Kishmîrî ‘quddisa sirruh’, who was the highest scholar of his time and the great teacher who educated the renowned scholar Abdulhakîm Siyalkûtî. He received ijâzât[1] in Hadîth, in Tafsîr and in sciences of Usûl (methodology, procedures) from Qâdî Behlûl Bedahshânî, who was an ’âlim-i-rabbânî. He was only seventeen years old when he completed his education, in possession of ijâzât in all the branches of religious and positive sciences, as well as in sciences called Furû’ and Usûl. During his education, he received, through his father, the fayz and flavour in the hearts of the great men of Tasawwuf affiliated with the orders of Qâdirî and Cheshtî. His father was still alive when he already began to teach the disciples practical and spiritual sciences. In the meantime he wrote quite a number of books, among which are Risâla-t-ut-tehlîliyya, Risâla-t-ur-radd-ir-rawâfid, and Risâla-t-u-ithbât-un-nubuwwa (Proof of Prophethood). He was specially interested in belles-lettres. His eloquence, rhetoric, quickness of comprehension and great intelligence were objects of bewilderment for all the people around him. |

The Drenching | by Billie Maverick Oct. 03, 2011 | 155208 words | Read a sample |
| Author bio: A clerical worker for over 24 years, my entrepreneur spirit kicked in ‘91 after leaving my fortieth interview (yes I counted them back then). As the frustration of not finding work overwhelmed me I heard a soft voice in my mind, ‘If they won’t hire you, hire yourself’. It was a new reflection; an unprecedented idea. Months later, I started a typing business from home. I also became a columnist that wrote about relieving stress, meditation and relaxation techniques in an online travel magazine. I’m close to 50 years of age, walking on a cane and feel that I have accumulated knowledge that spans two lifetimes. I love movies (action, animation, science fiction and fantasy) and I’m a video gamer (1st shooter/sniper). I'm a voracious book reader who discovered romance novels, Roman and Greek mythology in my teenage years. I keep myself updated on several subjects: how the mind works and its potential (whether it’s psychological, intellectual, spiritual, or supernatural), entrepreneurship, savings and investing. I tell anyone that I’ve accumulated a wealth of ‘mindless’ information that’s just floating around in my noggin. So with these wonderful lifetime experiences, it’s only logical that I found myself slipping easily into a new career as a fiction writer. My promotion this year is to give away my 1st book, ‘The Drenching’. I humbly ask that opinionated individuals, that struggled through in reading my book, to go to my website www.billiemaverick.com to send me a missive on how I can strengthen my writing. |

Peter Carrot-top | by Yolanda Jackson May 05, 2009 | 154321 words | Read a sample |
| Author bio: My name is Yolanda A. Jackson, born on April 3, 1980 in Rockford, IL. I have been writing from the age of twelve, mostly Fantasy and Sci-Fi, but my writing skills go far beyond the norm into Horror and Animation. I first discovered my talent as a writer when I complained about Robocop needing more action, but my friends loved it. They dared me to come up with a movie better than Robocop - and I did! My first book/script was Copper Kid, it was about a computer programmed robot girl who fights crime with jet-propelled wings and a computer brain. It was just great - well at least I thought so. Finally, I got them to read it and lo and behold they loved it. That was when I first knew maybe I had something. As the years passed, I grew to hate school - it was not the place for me. I began to daydream about being a big movie director and owning my own studio. Of course, it never happened and I eventually finished school, but I hated everything but English class and writing assignments, which led me to my first hand-written novel, September Monkies, that I still have to this day. No one believed in my dreams and, consequently, they were swept aside as I went through this wonderful stage called "growing up". I was a foster child my entire life - a ward of the State - and writing eased the pain of moving from one foster home to another or one group home to another. Every time I moved I tried to write a novel to help me cope with my new home, and because of this I became more involved in my writing. I began to imagine places that only exist in fantasy or animals that only inhabit one's imagination. Soon, this freed me to face reality and to know when not to face reality. While my friends were all dating and into boys, I was into creative writing, imagining fantastic creatures that don't exist or developing characters to which everyone in the world can relate. When I was seventeen, the Department of Children and Family Services let me go and I was out into the real world on my own. That's when I realized that my dreams of writing would have to take a back seat to earning a living. The bills came first, and a roof over my head was more important than what had come to seem like just a dumb dream. It hurt to let my dreams slip away, but I had no choice. It was either work three jobs to get the bills paid or live in a fantasy land where the Fairy God Mother pays the bills. It did not take me long to realize that the Fairy God Mother did not exist. All the money I had for publishing had to be used for survival, and I threw my dreams aside to play the game of life. After years of working three jobs, I got tired and decided to give my dreams one more shot. I got a better job as a Sterile Tech in a trauma hospital and began making a little more money. So, I saved and saved and finally had had enough money to self publish, which has been a wonderful learning experience. I have published my first novel in a series - Peter Carrot-top "In Search Of the 8th Key". My goal in writing is to not only improve my skills, but to get children of the world interested in reading and writing, to see the story unfolding in their minds, and to use their imaginations to dream and to dream big. |

Revolted | by Jean-Nichol Dufour May 21, 2012 | 154243 words | Read a sample |
| Author bio: A fresh new author, straight from the intellectually acclaimed X generation, there to answer all your questions. From the beginning of life to the end of the universe, nothing escapes his vision, but only the best can follow his steps, so prepare your view of life for the test. You can abandon, you can reject, you can fight, you can forget but you already passed the finish line of innocence so it is too late to play impudence. Now is the time to separate lies from truth, evil from good, strength from weakness. My presence here as an author has nothing to do with personal gain, I’m here to reveal this reality and give you the option to live or die. Whatever it is today or tomorrow, your world will never be the same after me (humility don’t pay in this reality). As for my life, I sometimes think I’m a monk, but you will probably find me a better name after reading some of my writings. I’m a Quebecker living in Quebec City, French, so my English surely won’t be academically perfect. Not much running around the planet and no expertise, I think I was born revolted as I passed my whole life from 10 years old (the farthest I can remember) revolted and thinking about changing the world. Apart from a moment in the army and at school, as soon as I became adult, I started making actual projects for a different reality. Writing is the only way I found to express my mind, and today, at 37, and I’m proud of my work. I hope you’ll appreciate it, because I believe it is the only possibility for humanity to ascend at the next step of its evolution, more than that, I believe my conclusions are the only way for humanity to still have potential in 100 years, whatever scientists say, and again; sorry for my lack of humility. One facet of the suite of books I wrote is to make the demonstration that the present reality will fail for many logical and spiritual reasons. That’s why, in the first chapter of the first book, I’ll try to get rid of those readers I can guess will automatically go for personal attacks as soon as I’ll describe what I don’t like of the present reality. However, I don’t want my multiple warnings to deter those who want a fresh view of life, that’s why I’ll say to go for the title that interest you the most; if you want to read about how a person can be revolted against the world, then read “Revolted†if you want a different view of the mind then read “The seat of my mind†if you want a different view of god and the universe, read “Oh my god†if you want a description of another reality, read “A new reality†and so on. Finally, don’t judge from my cover art, I never used a drawing program before, and if you want to communicate with me, do it at the following address. Zipyzaty@hotmail.com |

An Ever Fixéd Mark | by Jessie Olson Jan. 24, 2011 | 153940 words | Read a sample |
| Author bio: Jessie Olson grew up in a small Central Massachusetts town with lots of trees and a complete lack of restraint on her imagination. Adulthood has granted her opportunity to stretch that imagination further by working in museums displaying medieval history and the whimsical design of a Dabsville mainstay. Writing has always been a part of that imagination. She writes a blog about all sorts of subjects – light and frothy as well as questioning the topics that polite conversation recommends avoiding. There are many novels in the works, but An Ever Fixed Mark is her first foray into the paranormal. In addition to the written word, Jessie finds a pleasant occupation of time whilst performing in local theater, cooking up something for a dinner party, or watching a ridiculous number of hours of BBC television on Netflix. |

Blood Ties | by JD Nixon July 07, 2011 | 153020 words | Read a sample |
| Author bio: I live in beautiful Queensland in Australia. I started writing in 2009 because I wanted to do something creative and haven't stopped since! I have two series of books: The Heller series (first book Heller) features the frequently outlandish adventures of security officer Tilly Chalmers and her complicated relationship with her beautiful, mysterious and intense boss Heller. The Little Town series (first book Blood Ties) features police officer Tess Fuller and her struggle to survive a long-standing vendetta with the feral Bycraft family and at the same time manage the tense relationship between her new partner, Finn Maguire, and her boyfriend, Jake Bycraft. My author dream is to one day write a short story (which for me will probably be about 50,000 words!) where Tilly & Heller meet Tess & Finn. What a story that would be! Maybe over the end-of-year break??? I hope you enjoy reading my books as much as I enjoyed writing them! I'd love to hear your feedback, so why not email me at: jdn.author@gmail.com |

I divide my time between an apartment in the city, in reach of good espresso, and a few acres in the country, where the rank grass in the orchard is kept under control by a small mob of sheep (and where we have our own espresso machine). Love Sweet Love - Part 1 | by Dave Corrick Jan. 07, 2012 | 149946 words | Read a sample |
| Author bio: I was born in Christchurch New Zealand and have, for a number of years lived in Auckland. My qualifications are in engineering; however from the years 2000 to 2009 I dedicated my time to creative computer programming. I essence I developed software to run on the Windows platform and then marketed it. It required some application of imagination to develop software and in 2009 I used this same imagination to write my first book. This was something I have always wanted to do and quite frankly, once I started I enjoyed it immensely. Close by to where we live (that's my wife Julie, and me) there is a delightful bush lined stream where we walk most days. It's a beautiful natural oasis in suburban Auckland. This stream was where with a little imagination the two "Louie the Bee" books were "born". The "Louie the Bee" books are available from Amazon, and Barnes and Noble in hard copy form and a few sell. However I must say the greatest pleasure I gain from writing is seeing the pleasure others get from reading the stories I have created. I feel I have achieved this when I see how the "Louie the Bee" books, that are here in our Auckland libraries; are always in demand. Seeing this has been the absolute true pleasure of writing for me. Subsequent to the "Louie The Bee Books", I was motivated to write the two "Love Sweet Love" books, by the despair I feel at what man is doing to the planet and how inevitably we will bring about our own demise. In reading "Love Sweet Love" you will know what I mean! Currently "Love Sweet Love" is only available in eBook format from Smashwords and Amazon Kindle. Dave |

Stalking The Average Man | by John Axelson March 22, 2011 | 148432 words | Read a sample |
| Author bio: John was conformed to the ways of his world no different than most people: he was supposed to go to school, get a job with a pension plan, get married, have babies, be a good parent, and die with dignity without imposing on others. So much for expectations: After a stint in the Navy, and a return to college, he traveled the world for CBS, NBC, and CBC television news, as a soundman / editor / cameraman. By the age of thirty-five he had been to a dozen areas of conflict, been deported from two, “asked†to leave a third, was jailed in two more, and had been wounded. Then he met the principal character, a seer, in this story. He still lives a mercurial existence, writing and teaching as the opportunities arise. |
