After her death I began writing The Indian Rock Vampire series based on the Heavener Runestone in southeastern Oklahoma. I both write and publish my own work and assist other Oklahoma authors to do the same. In addition to the Indian Rock series I've also written a political thriller set in the future titled One Drug with other novels under development.

Living in an ancient Mayan world nestled in the virgin jungles of the Yucatan has given my 12 year old daughter Landis and I encounters of a lifetime. Our Mayan friends have shared with us many secrets of their culture and we have experienced many of their customs and ceremonies. There are many mysteries and legends of this ancient race, and my daughter Landis and I started this series to share some of these fascinating traditions in a fun mystery book which educates the readers not only into the everyday life of the traditional Mayans still living in pueblitos but into authentic ancient customs through flashbacks in the book. Landis and I are Canadian, so I am thrilled that my daughter is completely fluent in her second language of Spanish, so we added some easy-to-remember Spanish words to teach readers a little of the language. All of the facts throughout the book are true, but they are presented in an entertaining fictional style with a closing message of integrity and wholesomeness. We are writing our next Landis Adventure book called “The Mystery at Isla Mujeres”, which takes place on a beautiful island nestled off the coast of Cancun, in the aquamarine waters of the Caribbean Sea.

Author bio:
I'm a 21 year old who wants to change the world. Due to the unlikelihood of that happening, I'll settle for changing you if you'll let me. I've had no formal creative writing training nor have I gone to college, though that is in the works. I've not even read any classical literature; what I write is purely me and my own, as repulsive and coarse as that may be. I've written about a half-dozen short stories, most of a novel, and over a hundred complete song lyrics(some use poetic devices, most don't, aside from rhyming). Not looking to make money from my stories--at least not until I've taken classes for writing. I'm also a guitarist, a wannabe singer and a terrible pianist. In a world of synth-driven, auto-tuned chart toppers, the kind of musician that I hope to be is quickly becoming obsolete. May each universe you create be as filled with imagination and wonder as this one. Please alert me to any ways you feel I can improve my style of writing. Rates, comments and criticism are not only welcome, but much appreciated.

After having traveled across the majority of the United States and seen many of the quirky, odd, and beautiful things our nation has in it's hidden corners I have decided to settle in the backwoods Of Alaska. Here I hope to build a farm and Christian retreat, a place for myself and others to get away from the pressures of the world and find a little inner peace. Currently my only written work Is The Secret the the Sword, however this is only the first in a series of books. My favorite Author is the late Mr. Robert Jordan and I can only thank him and his wonderful imagination for inspiring me not only to write but to fall in love with the written word. It is my belief that if a person doesn't love reading, then they can't love writing. And truthfully this is a labor of love for me because I don't ever see myself getting rich from it.

Recent travels in Greece and research into a mysterious murder in Australia in 1972 has lead to Ashley's latest book, In Too Deep. As well as following a murder trail through the Greek Isles, Australia and England, it confronts a perennial social issue. I'm currently working on my James Hadley series, the first two books are available for $0.99. The third will hopefully be published in either March or April, but the date keeps getting pushed back so I make no promises. Please have a look at the books, and all feedback is taken into consideration. The cover images for my James Hadley books are just temporary so there is a greater chance they will actually get noticed. I'm currently working on some better covers to replace them, but I'm quite busy so it's taking time. There is a chance there won't be any new covers until after I have published the third James Hadley book. I also feel like I've rushed my James Hadley series, so once I've published the third book I will probably go over all three of them and possibly publish some revised editions. After reading through some of my earlier work I know it's not the best, especially compared to my writing now, so some changes might have to be made. If I don't publish any revised editions, I will probably write a short guide to all the groups of people in the James Hadley universe, because I don't think I've explained it very well, in terms of who's who and how different/similar their world is compared to ours. If you want to ask me any questions about any of my books and stories, or to just tell me what you think of them, please feel free to email me at jameshadleylindseyskye@gmail.com.

Sadly, I don't play as much now, because I live in my own house and my piano is back in my family's house. Sad day. I love history, I love to learn, I speak German and Spanish decently, I would love to travel to countries like Germany, Russia, and Georgia. And Italy--I don't have Italian roots, but there's something about that place that deeply intrigues me. I am even thinking of moving over there --where? somewhere--to teach ESL since I have my certification and my Bachelor's degree now. I'm a Christian, too, though not always the best one. I believe in God and try to follow the Golden Rule, but I find I'm more human than I like to admit... My next project was a family saga, which I have published as part of NaNoWriMo. It's based on the saga of MY family of course! And being set "up north" it's grim! And then? A collection of short stories, about some of the people in my first book, again set in a village in the Languedoc. And next? I'll try "something completely different."

Smoke by Richard Puz Smoke by Richard Puz Oct. 07, 2011 2472 words Read a sample
Author bio:
Richard Puz’s books are well researched. They bring to life the stories of American settlers who lived two centuries ago. He has journeyed throughout the world and has spent months traveling across America to search out the locations for his books. His novels are currently in a series called Six Bulls. These include Avenge, Six Bulls-The Ohioans, and The Carolinian. The novels in the Six Bulls series draw from family tales about settlers who journeyed to the American frontier in the 1800s. Their stories, passed down through the generations, paint pictures of courageous and adventurous people—a hearty lot—who had perseverance, self reliance, and, despite dangers and the unknown, overcame their fears. Most were not famous or widely celebrated, yet they carved out homes, farms, and a life on the frontier, and, in the process, created a great nation. His observations follow: "American settlers are heroes in my eyes, and it is an honor to include some of their folklore in my novels. "From my research, I have a better understanding of the Native American’s plight. Despite being fierce and resourceful, they were ultimately swept aside by the oncoming tide of settlers. There came a time for understanding and compassion by the conquering invaders. In too many instances, this did not occur, and that disgraceful stain is part of our historical legacy. "Like those ancestors, I'm on a journey, too."
