The Call at 3:18 am | by Paul Telegdi March 12, 2012 | 30145 words | Read a sample |
| Author bio: BIO: Nearing retirement, I now have more time to devote to writing (and if I don’t, I squeeze the day until there is a space/time to crawl into). Over the past 15 years, I have worked on 15 books, three of which (of the Dreamcast series) are self-published. My website, http://www.PaulTelegdi.ca gives a full account of my life and accomplishments, which I shall not repeat here. The thumbnail version: I was born in Hungary; when young immigrated to Canada with my family, attended University of Waterloo, Ontario, where I met my wife. Spent years in West Germany where my wife was studying music while I was learning German. Returning to Canada, we ended up on a farm in Ontario with pets. Long-time married, I boast of three sons with talent and personality. Presently I am office manager of my wife’s private practice of psychology. I like kayaking and windsurfing. I belong to a number of writers’ groups, and often choose writing over sleeping. eBooks are an exciting new chapter in my life and I’m looking forward to the wider exposure. My motto: Want a better life? Then write it! |

You'll Never Walk Alone | by Saul Moon March 10, 2012 | 3031 words | Read a sample |
| Author bio: My writing genres are mystery and crime, with a little bit of romance, of course. 'The Scorpian Visitant' is an epic fantasy / mystery novel in which sixties teenagers Robbie Higgins and Louise Carlton travel to medieval Oakwood to find the Death Stone of Izar. On their fantastic Odessey they find love and the reality of their mysterious origins... I also write short stories. ‘Switch’ a romantic mystery has been very well received since its publication as a free e-book on Smashwords. ‘Vacant Possession’ is a short story about a poltergeist that moves from haunting a house to possessing the estate agent who is selling the property. Another short story 'You'll Never Walk Alone' concerns a man who is too scared to tell his wife that he is about to lose his job. With little prospect of employment and many debts his family faces disaster. The tale twists at the end where the fate of protagonist meets that of the boss who persecutes him. Currently I am working on my Lucy Harlow crime short stories. The first 'Oxygen Restriction' sees our budding detective embroiled in a story of fetish and murder. This was published on Friday 20 April. The next three 'TV Torment', 'Opera Flowers' and 'Summer Soldier' are written and see our feisty young private detective on the trail of the worst kind of of serial murderers. 'Northern Star' - a blackmail story with a twist - has been completed. These stories will be published throughout 2012, with 'TV Torment' out on 19 May. Another important story for me features a central character in Oxygen Restriction, David Black. 'Double' is the story of a sucessful man haunted by his double. A disturbing mystery out in the summer. Please feel free to contact me on Twitter or Facebook. I have also have a blog, see the hyperlink. Regards and best wishes Saul |

Blaze Of Glory | by Dakota Douglas Feb. 25, 2012 | 4529 words | Read a sample |
| Author bio: I'm a retired journalist who is now turning my hand to writing books. I've started with short stories to test the water. Many of my storylines come in dreams. The melody for the famous Beatles' song "Yesterday" came to Paul McCartney in a dream. So maybe I'll dream a bestseller. My first book was created on a toy typewriter when I was 10 and my dad did the illustrations. He was best at drawing elephants and that started a life-long passion for collection elis of all shapes and sizes. I now have a massive herd of ornaments, clothing and jewellery. I play golf badly, am a jewellery maker extraodinaire, and am learning Lakota Sioux. I don't know anyone else who is around here so I will probably have to talk to myself...so what's new. I also speak "Doo Da". ie: "You know who I mean...doo da", "Can you pass the...doo da?" |

| Author bio: Michael Wolf has been living in Manhattan for several years now. It wasn't more than a few months ago that he decided to start shaving his Love of NYC and Writing. As a result of this "revelation", the website you know now as MichaelWolf.Co.Uk was birthed. Having had the chance to go on an adventure with Michael Wolf himself has brought me to a whole new perspective and understanding of NYC and how it could be lived in. It was like living inside of his mind and experiencing life as Michael for a day. Manhattan will never look the same again. After many of our discussions I had learned how most of his writing came to be, and the process he undergoes to produce his work. "It is my goal to share all that I have and love with the world; I wan't to make everyone smile and show people that no matter how bad life can be, you can still smile and have a good time. I don't want anyone to know who I am, I just want to show…" |

Extreme Malice | by Ray Swirsky Feb. 06, 2012 | 56671 words | Sample 50% |
| Author bio: Born in 1960 in the small town of Kimberley in British Columbia, Ray has always been a great fan and participant in the field of the arts. After moving to Calgary in the early eighties to attend technical college, Ray began to indulge in many fields of the arts from painting, photography and writing. Ray never began his writing career until he was in his early forties and has since authored a number of books; His first book, The Bluffington Four is already available at amazon.com and numerous other online retailers all over the world. The Cabinet (A wolf's Tale) is a short, written in simple prose. Some may enjoy this short read, some may not, as the writing style is meant to be awkward and sometimes simple. Just released this February 2012 is Ray's first murder mystery novel, Extreme Malice. If you could create the perfect murder and get away with it, would you? A young university student is charged with murder. His guitar string is wrapped around her neck. His shoe prints are left at the scene. Her earrings found under his bed. Her husband hundreds of miles away. But what really happened...? Ray is working on two more novels. The first is about a disfunctional family struggling with the fallout after both parents suddenly pass away and a fight over the assets ensues, eventually uncovering the possibility that one of the deaths was no accident. Release date fall 2012. The second novel also due to be released in the fall of 2012 covers the circumstances of two young boys who savagely murder their parents. The boys plead gulity to what they've done but will not reveal why. The two soon escape the detention centre and the hunt is on for the two as they seek shelter and cover in the forests along the Rocky Mountains as they fight their way back to their home in Bluffington where the murders took occurred. What really happened in that house and why were the boys so determined to go back to that house at all costs? If reading fiction novels with a bit of sci fi, mystery, and romance appeals to you, then I hope you take the opportunity to enjoy The Bluffington Four. If it's detective murder stories, then Extreme Malice is a much faster paced novel but still a warning for some content may be disturbing to some readers. I am also sure Ray would love to hear any feedback that you would care to offer. |

| Author bio: I grew up in the 60s and spent most of my teenage years playing in rock-n-rolls groups and experimenting with hallucinogenic drugs. I attended college in several locations but after earning over 166 credit hours I never obtained a degree because I changed majors 8 times. Through several people I had known I came to work and live at the PTL property run by the Bakers in South Carolina. After the public downfall of the PTL organization I begin working in the computer field and wound up in a high paying corporate job. I spent 10 years with a major telecommunications company, but was eventually laid off and had to scramble to find work. After the millennium I built a computer service business but watched it fail during the economic downturn. In the most recent past I have lived in a camper at several national parks and on a friend’s property but have not really had a permanent address for at least the last 10 years of my life. |
