Lon got started into writing books after being diagnosed in 2004 with congestive heart failure (CHF) contracted from a flu virus. In 2005, he authored his first book from researched work titled: “Kissed by Death: Congestive Heart Failure,” centered on patient’s surviving CHF. During his assignment in England in the 1990’s, Lon’s hobby was writing stories about a paramilitary organization he created known as Air Rescue. As a pledge to himself after being diagnosed with CHF, Lon published his first action-adventure book titled: “Two Sisters of Kuwait” in 2006. As a kid my imagination was molded by the likes of Enid Blyton and the heroes of Marvel and DC Comics. Fast forward to modern day, and it seems those books and characters had a stronger grip on me than I initially thought. Writing gives me the ability to delve into characters and worlds that would typically be closed off to me in my normal life. An Avid sports fan and music aficionado. I tend to gravitate towards anything that involves creativity. Of late photography seems to have piqued my interest also. I consider myself an expressionist. Some of my favorite authors are Stephen King,Dean Koontz, James Patterson, Peter Straub, Suzanne Collins, J.K. Rowling, Thomas Harris, Dan Brown, Cormac McCarthy, My new favorite- Bentley Little, and many many more. I'm willing to read any author who has a great idea and is able to express his ideas in a way I can relate(at least with the characters) and understand clearly. I revise constanly and still don't end up satified, but i guess that is something that will come in time, hopefully. I hope you enjoy my stories as much as I enjoy writing them. I am currently working on a novel, but I will try to upload new short stories from time to time, mostly free to read. I believe if I'm going to charge anything it should be at least 4,000 words or more. A lot of the stories I post are old and had been written years ago, but I think they still have good potential (After endless revising and I know they're still not perfect). Thanks for your time. The author has written since the age of 8, has received formal education in biochemistry (MD), mathematics (PhD) and law (MD). His main interest in writing is connected to emotions, thinking processes and social conflicts from a somewhat biased point of view, many times contrary to the established line of thinking and sometimes provoking. The book 'Wild Duck revisited' was greatly inspired by a ten-year stay in Bergen(Norway) that included high school classes and university courses,and a short time spent at Fantoft Studentby (a student hostel), the ugliest building complex in named city, where all kinds of nationalities could be met. Many passages of the book are conversations that actually took place there. The author had moved to the south since then. In recent years, the author has been co leader of a contemporary modern art gallery profiling the interconnection of art, science and technology.
