Hi there! My name is Amy and I am 12 years old. I am currently working on a book called Thieves. This one, is a boy book, but girls can still read it, just as guy's can read the girl books I wrote. I see no problem with that. I am almost finished with Thieves- I'm on chapter 6. I don't know how long this is going to be, but obviously a short story, since it's taking me so long to write it and I want to be done before school is out. I kept restarting it is my problem. I live in the U.S and if you want to know more about me, then visit my blog! :) Kittens are not to be dunked in hot tubs (only my friends will get this), Amy A little P.S: Nothing going on much right now! Tell all your mothers, "HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!" Because, today is Mother's Day (in case you didn't catch that part!)

Clown Wolf I wrote this when I finally realised the kids had grown up...and because I'm a man, and obviously a bit slow, I never saw it coming. I had a bit of a hard time with it (self indulgent I suppose) of understanding the world had simply changed...and my little friends were gone. Don't get me wrong...I know I'm very lucky, but it was hard watching them go...and all I felt was sad. God knows what I was trying to say, although I think I've worked out since, that whatever it was, I was talking to myself......I do that a lot...and I'm sure no good will come of it.

Well it's all in the book really. I was a non masonic bottom feeder working for Bishopsbeade Police, pounding out my days with the other plebs in uniform, before being carelessly selected for the force's new surveillance unit. Obviously as a result of what went on to happen on "That Night", as it's now referred to, I find myself, along with my fellow inebriates Squid and Baggy, back on Civy street. Needless to say we continue to embrace the chaos as we attempt to subsidise the meager pensions the force waved us off with. At the time of going to press we've just got ourselves a van and Baggy is out shopping for ladders (Squid thinks he might have a bucket and some sponges somewhere.) Think I can feel another book coming on.

Someone recently asked me what my greatest dreams are as an author I'd like to see happen? I've reached a point in my career (life) where whatever I do I try to do for enjoyment (as in personal fulfilment). Mostly this continues to remain an aspiration, but when one does touch that place it is special. I'd like to think the efforts I make are reflected not only in my role as an author, but the values I bring to living. So what would I like to see happen? To pass this sense of enjoyment to others, so they might experience it - preferably through my writing. ***** Further information can be found by visiting my Web site (see link below). Author bio:
I worked in the film business as a screen writer and director for many years. My first feature film, "Love At First Sight", Dan Aykroyd's first film, was invited to Filmex in Los Angeles by the American Film Institute. I directed other movies including "Melanie" starring Glynnis O'Connor, Don Johnson and Paul Sorvino and "Café Romeo" starring Jonathan Crombie and Catherine Mary Stewart. I also wrote and directed a dark comedy called "Home Is Where The Hart Is" starring Leslie Nielsen, Martin Mull and my sister, Valri Bromfield. In the 90s I ran a software company. My team and I won the Newmedia Invision Award, Newsweek’s Editor’s Choice Award and Parenting Magazine’s Magic Software Award for a musical painting app for preschoolers called "Paint ‘N’ Play". I directed many episodes of children’s television. But I really wanted to tell larger, strange, funny stories for adults. I've written a few short stories and the darkly comic novels "At Large" and "Nora-9". I read a lot of hard science (or, at least, I try to). Real science plays into most of my work. I have spent some considerable time thinking about the obesity epidemic and the extinction of the human species; subjects that I think are closely related in a number of peculiar ways. Here's my official quote: "There are some difficult social problems that are not going to be solved until we can laugh and are no longer frightened by them."

Peter Wilson was born in Nottingham, England, in 1936. After education at Nottingham High School, where he changed course from classics to science because he couldn’t get on with Greek, he gained an open scholarship to St. Edmund Hall, Oxford, to be taken up after National Service (1955-57) in which he was a radio mechanic at the SHAPE military headquarters near Paris. At Oxford he gained first-class honours in chemistry, then took a PhD at Leeds University. In 1964 he was appointed to a research position at the nuclear reprocessing site at Sellafield in Cumberland (the north-western corner of England), then operated by the United Kingdom Atomic Energy Agency (UKAEA) of which the relevant division became British Nuclear Fuels plc (BNFL) in 1971. He remained there until retirement in 2001, mostly working on process chemistry development. For the last dozen years he was chiefly concerned with certain aspects of long-term waste management and related strategic issues, helping to form the company technical policy thereon and presenting its rationale in international discussions. He was also the technical member of a team representing the UK in gaining acceptance of an extension to the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty to cover a possible loophole. His book "The Nuclear Fuel Cycle" (Oxford University Press, 1996) has become the standard text on the subject. Following his retirement, BNFL set up and financed a "Peter Wilson Medal and Prize" for research and communication, to be awarded annually at Leeds University. He still lives in Seascale, a coastal village near to the Sellafield site. An interest in amateur dramatics goes back to the 1960s and for 40+ years he has been an active member of the society based in Gosforth, the next village inland. His collection of stories, plays and film scripts along with some factual material may be found at www.peterwilson-seascale.me.uk.
